Had the 3 course lunch very nicely cooked and presented

The best restaurant in Emsworth by some considerable margin. The food is always outstanding, the menu is always interesting, and the service is always faultless yet friendly. Can’t recommend highly enough.

I went here for a delayed mother's day meal. We all had three delicious courses and a tasty bottle of Sauvignon blanc. The service was great too. Highly recommended.

An amazing place to eat. Fantastic food.

·

Excellent food, wine and atmosphere - when you compare the price for a 3 courses and wine to the local pubs, it's very good value. Lovely service as expected

Had some absolutely lovely food here at Fat Olives. You pay for quality, most worthy.

One of our go to restaurants for any occasion ! The sign says it all friendly food, tasty people! This cosy old fisherman’s cottage, houses a fantastic restaurant! The menu is always seasonal & locally sourced, owner and chef Lawrence is a master of the stoves and has a fantastic knowledge in the kitchen and the front of house team is lead by his charming wife. Great wine list too. Fat Olives is extremely popular so booking is essential and don’t forget to pop in the Blue Bell first for a drink !

One of the best meals we’ve ever had! The dishes are incredibly creative in terms of ingredient combinations and flavors, and everything was perfectly seasoned, cooked and complimented to each other.Though creative, nothing tasted “experimental” as if it was still finding its legs. While all the dishes were new and refreshing to us, they tasted as if they were well-know recipes perfected over decades. We had charred mackerel with cucumber gazpacho for starter, then veal loin and halibut for main. The cool and refreshing cucumber gazpacho balanced the fatty and flavorful mackerel. The veal loin was cooked perfectly pink and accompanied by green olive paste and a fluffy emulsion of thyme and lemon. The halibut was an incredible experience. The fish was perfectly pan seared, not greasy, not a min overcooked, served over a bed of strongly fragrant confit tomatoes (intense taste of tomato sweetness near caramelized) and brown shrimps, all surrounded by the light and subtlety sweet and fragrant tomato water, which was flavored by wild garlic pods. Was a true experience beyond just food!We finished the dinner with 2 lovely desserts - chocolate caramel torte and cherry almond tart. Julie, one of the owners recommended a dessert wine to go with the chocolate torte, which turned a delicious treat into a mind and palette opening experience!Last but absolutely not least, the service was friendly and professional; and the restaurant was decorated with lovely local art. I felt like a lot of thoughts and care had gone into every aspect of the restaurant (even the hand sanitizer had a special pleasant scent), and all added to the great experience we had.We are already looking forward to the next visit.

Went out for a last minute dinner with the husband and as it was my choice we came here, I've been wanting to come for ages. The lady looking after us was lovely and the food!!!! I had the ravioli to start and the Rosti, both beautifully cooked. I started off with the soufflé for pudding but swapped over and much preferred the husband's!! Looking forward to my next visit!
