Finkles restaurant in South Lakeland

We had our staff Christmas meal here and it was excellent - proper home cooked food, generous portions, reasonable price and lovely staff. We all had a brilliant time and will definitely be returning.

Always great food and great value, the specials in particular are fab. Just been in a d had the braised pork steak with chips and fresh veg, mug of tea and a strawberry milkshake. Proper full.

This little cafe hidden away in the centre of Kendal is well worth a visit if you like good old-fashioned cooking at reasonable prices.

Don't come to Finkles for fancy decor, ambient music or swanky weird dinners. Come to Finkles because you want substantial, delicious, hearty food for a decent price (especially in the Lakes). We had the shearman's pie and the crepe Bolognese, which was a cheesy delight. Coming back here!

Great food . Fairly low prices and quick service . All served in a quirky old building. I've been going back for over 30 years!

Food ok, but no where near good enough, and definitely not as fresh as described, and the quality was also sadly lacking. Service excellent, staff very friendly.

Great little café. A bit dated in decor and menu but that is definitely it's appeal. Food is lovely, it has a licenced bar, accepts dogs in a small inside area and has outdoor / pavement seating too.
