Fish-over-Chips in South Lakeland

Had fish ,chips and peas with a cup of tea and it was great. Chips just like mamma used to make, lovely cooked and tasty fish and peas were home made. A very large pot of good tea to wash it down with. The service was excellent, very attentive and pleasant staff. The price was terrific too. Thankyou might have to try again tomorrow.

Part of a large group we've eaten here tonight. Great fish snd chips, generous portions and unending amounts of tea! Lovely staff and very efficient service. Excellent all round.

It looks very unassuming, outside and in, but the service is impeccable, the chips the best I've had in years. I will definitely go back if I'm in the area again.

Great fish and chips. Their homemade curry was amazing. Might try a deep fried cheese and onion pie next time :)

Staying local on holiday we were recommended this place. Chips were superb, and my sausage was pretty decent! Sadly my wife's fish was absolutely crammed full of bones, to the point she spent more time pulling bones out her mouth than actually enjoying her meal.

Great service as ever here. The good and the bad news is that there is always a long queue when we visit. Obviously we are in good company.The chips, fish, pies, pizza are all very good here.We normally take away but you can also eat in

Coming here was, I’ll have to say one of the best chip shop experiences I’ve had in a long time. Wonderful staff team and very nice food. We ate in and my wife and I felt truly welcomed and looked after throughout. Will recommend this chippy and definitely go again when next up this way

Popped in here on first night of stay in the area and I was immediately comforted by the queue, that’s always a good sign in a chippy.Ordered 2 x large fish and chips and some onion rings with a gravy, curry and a “special” curry.Fish was cooked just right and the batter light and crispy, all the sauces were thick, tasty and unctuous with the right amount of viscosity to coat each chip.The staff were friendly and working flat out.There may be other places nearby but I’d struggle to see how they’d compete.Great stuff.
