Higginsons Butchers in South Lakeland

What a great place this is. Wonderful selection of tasty pies and meats. Spotlessly clean and very friendly staff.

A fantastic, local, butcher! Bought a couple of Herdwick lamb racks of lamb and they were nothing short of amazing. Had pork pies and sausages from them before and always five out of five stars.

Bought amongst other things a beef Wellington. Cooked and binned. Should have thought better at the price, but chanced my arm. Normally great from higgies butt not this!

Butchery side no complaints , Deli counter atrocious!Just recently I’ve bought sliced ham( a substantial amount) that was stringy and so salty it was vile, I didn’t even feed it to my dogs.I thought maybe just an off day so I went back and got 6 slices of cooked beef. Big mistake! It was raw! Not pink or slightly red raw and dripping blood( this was supposed to be for sandwiches)I would have refused it but because the lights were out and the girl behind the counter made me feel as if I was being a nuisance I never mentioned it, but I won’t be buying from your deli again!Why are you letting the staff shut up shop a good half hour before closing time!AWFUL AND PLEASE GET STAFF THAT WANT TO BE THERE. ALSO I FED THE BEEF TO MY DOGS

Excellent service and products from all the team at Higginsons. From a sausage roll to a brisket and beyond you will not be disappointed. Not everything is on display, if you know what you want - ask for it, you are unlikely to be disappointed. Their pre prepared packs taste as good as they look - fantastic. Highly recommended checking them out in person or online.

Brilliant quality produce available at this shop. I love the homemade lasagne and the beef Wellington aswell as the deli meats. So good that it's a shame that some of the the staff are a bit miserable, no smiles, monosyblic answers and just generally not bothered whether they serve you or not. Doesn't matter though when the business doesn't rely on the staff being pleasant

We visited Grange over Sands and nipped in for a few pork pies. They were amazing, so we nipped back in and purchased some more along with some beef wellingtons. Omg, they were absolutely brilliant. We are going to visit Grange over Sands again just to buy some more beef wellingtons.

Was told about this butchers by a family member who lives local to it. All I can say is that it is amazing and was pleasantly surprised by the prices. We now travel from Manchester to buy from here. The peppercorn muffins are yummy. The pies and sausage rolls are also some of the best we have had. Definitely recommend this shop. 👍🏻

Absolutely fabulous butchers, Deli & pie shop.Their products are amazing and the staff are so, so helpful. Plus they have a takeout next door that do great cooked takeaway meals.

Had a walk into Grange over Sands main street , nice to see a proper butchers , people queuing out of door when we got there , shop spotless, butchers very friendly , bought some Cumberland Sausages, lots of meats and specialities all reasonable in price , other side of shop selling pies, sauces etc which seemed to be just as popular as meat side , will review sausage once tried
