Hipping Hall in South Lakeland

Superb property. If you stay here for the accommodation you should have dinner as well and go for the full course. Amazing seasonal produce and friendly staff especially the sommelier. Breakfasts are also prepared with the same level of craftsmanship and perfection. Highly recommended.

My 6th visit and afraid it's not up to the same standards as before. Some of the dishes on the 8 course tasting menu were luke warm and breakfast was not what you'd expect from a boutique establishment. The service was poor and the quality and cooking of the full cooked breakfast was not up to scratch. I feel very disappointed.

Somewhere a little different! Amazing 8 course taster menu! Great staff and service despite being short staffed! Even the chef did table service! Stopped in the stables which had a lovely big bath with local handmade toiletries. Danny in the bar was funny and knew her stuff! George gave us a great welcome. Nice night away

Fantastic stay with my boyfriend to celebrate the last year of my 20s. Beautiful suite with the biggest bath I’ve ever seen. Staff all very friendly and welcoming. To top it off, the food was impeccable. In particular the scallop with sea vegetables stood out. All in all, a truly amazing experience and would love to come back. Thanks to all at Hipping Hall.

We really enjoyed our taster menu meal. It was first class and the service was great. Highly recommended. We also stayed overnight which was also very good. Would use again

Delicious lunch in delightful surroundings. Solid wine list and unobtrusive if inconsistent service I’m sure HH will continue to prosper long after the departure of OM as the resident celeb chef.

Food which will live long in the memory. The meal we had was probably the best my partner and I have ever had, truly remarkable! The service and hospitality was also exceptional. Highly, highly recommended, particularly for the fantastic menu from oli Martin.
