Stopped for lunch on nice sunny day, big portions and very tasty, good service and lovely inside, plenty of character! Toilets lovely and clean, nicely tucked away from main stretch of Bo'ness and well worth finding

Good central place to meet local people and find out the best places to see and how to do it. Good beer, well served by friendly, knowledgeable staff. They also provide a good menu.

Favourite place ever.. this is our 1st stop before anything else when we visit bowness

This is just a very quaint English pub with good ales, good food and friendly staff. A roaring fire welcomes you along with great artifacts.

This is one of those pubs which you would want to visit for the heritage rather than the drinks. There's no problem with the beers. They are good but the main attraction is well-maintained interior of this 400-year old pub and the interesting history associated with it.This is not a place if you are looking for plush seating. But I will still recommend it for its charm.

Amazing Ploughman's Service friendly and prices good. Does get very busy for a small pub.

Met 3 members of staff and they were all very friendly and professional. Pub was very busy but we managed to find a table and had the most amazing meal. Best lamb dish I've eaten in years, can't recommend highly enough 10 out of 10 all round

Lovely spot away from the masses, allegedly hosted Charles Dickens back in the day! Great outdoor seating in the sun, and indoors is very uniquely decorated with walls full of history and a ceiling full of teaware.The staff was lovely too and food is great bang for your buck with delicious generous portions! Would recommend for a unique local rural pub experience.

Excellent old pub. Wonderful interior, 5* fresh homemade food. Was really pleased with price compare with other pubs nearby. Definitely must visit please.
