A must visit for breakfast if you're in Windermere. Superb eggs royal and excellent coffee. Great staff and a lovely place to just be in. They also have a great selection of cakes on offer at the counter. Highly recommend.

Gorgeous breakfast, everything tasted amazing. Kids loved their hot choc which came with loads of marshmallows that they could add themselves. I could have eaten a whole loaf of their toast!

Made a point of going out my way to visit after reading the great reviews and was not disappointed in any way with that decision. Great service and food. The portion sizes were very generous, just look at the size of the hash browns! Will be back whenever I am close again.

An absolute gem of a place. Hands down the best breakfast here and one of the best compared to places in Manchester. There is no reservation system but we didn't wait too long for a table. The vibe and interior is so chill.Love the menu, there is something for everyone. We ordered a few items and would have happily ordered more. It's nice to see a place that offers hot smoked salmon fillet rather than just smoked salmon on the eggs royale. The Huevos Rancheros was amazing. We also got the pain perdu french toast and that was really soft. The HG hash browns were on every table so we had to order these and honestly the best hash browns out there.Everything was presented perfectly, the portions were a very good size and worth every penny. Everything was so fresh too. Love that alot of things are seasonal. They do a good quality espresso and their dulce De latte was nice, we got that for take out with their homemade PB cookie.Would highly recommend Homeground!!!

A few bites of my Egg Benny was lovely, what caught my eyes was pineapple jam, it really added extra layers to the savoury taste. I recommend ordering mushrooms as a side, it really went well along with the dish too.It became a bit salty after that, but after all it was nice and really affordable (9 for egg Benny, and 3 big mushrooms just cost you 2.5) worth the penny.

I've tried several times to dine at Homeground but its always been too busy and could not get a seat so today was our lucky day, managed to get an outside seat for lunch today. We ordered the vegan buttermilk biscuit with wild mushrooms, sage & onion stuffing, fried sage leaves and Jerusalem artichoke puree, but with sourdough as they had sold out of the biscuit. Have to say this was a magnificent dish, very creative and well thought out, well presented, cooked and seasoned. It was faultless and we were sad to finish it was that good. I can understand why its always so busy now..Highly recommended. Also had three vegan cakes and plant milks so vegans can easily dine here. Returned to have breakfast of creamy baked oats with pretzel crumb and maple syrup, absolutely scrumptious so delicious.

We visited as a large group, including 6 children. The staff were amazing, accomodating and patient with the children, especially when they changed their minds a million times. A really nice, local coffee house, serving a fantastic selection of hot drinks and cakes. We will be back again. A really, down to earth place with great staff.

Lovely place for lunch, coffee and cakeHad to wait a little but not long and was well worth the wait.Soup was delicious, saved the cake for later as it was massive and we were full.Really nice atmosphere and selection of food and drinks.

Sensational coffee, amazing cakes and confectionery and great service. On the day we visited, most other coffee shops we passed were half empty, while there was a queue to get into Homeground. We soon learned why - and trust me, it's worth the wait.UPDATE: visited for a second time today and had the French Toast. Literally the greatest breakfast I have ever had in my entire life. I'd give this place ten stars if I could.

Worth the visit! Great coffee, tasty brunch dishes. Ordered the French toast which is clearly very popular at the table. Wished the bread was slightly more soaked, but the mascarpone more than made up for it!
