Indian ocean Windermere in South Lakeland

We didn't even order. Walking in you get the worst vibes even before being seated. It's an old run down restaurant. The waiter was creepy weird and rude, staff does not know how to speak and is rude. The whole restaurant was empty we asked for a table and they said this what we have, if you want stay or leave we don't care.*Advice for people don't go there after reading other reviews.*Advice for owners. Recommended by locals and wasnt disappointed. Really good quality food - loved the mango chicken and lemon rice in particular. Very friendly staff. Tiny little place so booking may be recommended.

Doesn't look the best from the outside and the interior decor is not the best either but we were there to eat the food and what I can say is that it was great, poppadoms to start, two meals, naan bread and drinks for less than £40...Poppadoms were fresh and crispy with a good selection of sauces, I had Lamb Tikka Bhuna with Fried Rice and chips, all freshly cooked, the naan was gorgeous, crispy edges and a slight hint of sweetness. Would definitely go again.

Wow absolutely fantastic place to eat they was extremely busy but handled it to perfection food came out red hot and cooked perfectly mine and my partners curries where delicious definitely be visiting again

One of the worst experience so far in any South Asian restaurant! Had to leave before ordering food. Restaurant waiter was really mean (I guess because we were Indian and despite the restaurant name is 'Prince of India'). Will never recommend it to any one!

Food wasn't fresh, the rice was stale and dry, neither were the meat dishes flavoured and it was full of sugar, Why? I really don't know. The naan bread tasted like sweet bread.....

Absolutely the worst Indian food I ever had in my life. They are spoiling the fame of Indian food here. Though the place ran by Bangladeshi, it doesn't matter for me unless they provide what it is said in menu. The food is stinking here(veggies especially potatoes in the curries were rotten).Please don't waste money on this, I would rather fill myself with water than having food here and spoiling my health.

The chef special was full of pickled and onions which worsted our night. Staff was Bengali and nice behaved but i wanted spend my dinner with my husband and not having this much noise of them. They had a conversation about all, it was like “hope to finish and go away “Didn’t like their furniture and atmosphere. Very old fashion with fake flowers 😱😱 and I felt them with dust. I also thik that they was observing all we did.
