Ishaas Indian Eatery in South Lakeland

Some of the reviews are a little off putting, however we thought we would give it a go. The food was excellent, the service great and it was very Busy. The Cobra was nice too.

This place is nice. Staff are friendly and looked after us. The place looked and felt clean. The food was OK. The lamb chops were more like mutton. The madras curry quite heavy on curry powder, but still tasty. If you crave a curry this place will do the job and has good atmosphere.

Had a great meal here tonight. We nearly didn't go due to the reviews on Google but glad we did, food was fresh, tasty and plentiful. The service received was great all staff helpful and polite and we got seated straight away. Would definitely recommend.

It was just an okay restaurant. We ordered biryani and the amount was vey surprising. Too less for asked price. Pyaaaj pakoda we ordered and it was just two piece of flat and tasteless pakora. A bit pricy as per my experience. Give it a try though.

We had our 9 year wedding anniversary dinner here. Halal meat available. Everything tasted outstanding. Excellent presentation of food and great decor and ambience. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the Lake District.We were still quite full from a late lunch so we didn't order much.2 starters, 1 main to share, 2 naans, 1 rice to share and even the soft drink that was exquisite. The total came to about £35. The most perfect meal and great value for money. Thank you Ishaas Indian Eatery you guys were amazing.

Will go as far to say it’s one of the nicest Indian meals we have ever had.The service was impeccable 5star for that aloneWell done to all the staffThe food was delicious and very well Presented and we enjoyed the whole experience and told them that too. They even allowed a pizza from another eatery for a child so the family could all eat together that was a nice touch.Again we’ll done and Thankyou we will def be back and highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very nice Indian food, fresh and really nice.Staff excellent and helpful .we were pleasantly surprised. The best Indian food we have had in a long time . Well worth the visit . Prices not too bad . If you stay more than one night in Ambleside definitely worth a visit .

Everything you want and expect from a northern curry house. On my visit went totally overboard and ordered far too much delicious hot food. Not too spicy a madras, delicious peshwari naan, tasty starters. Local real ale too! Attentive, but relaxed service. Good value.Overall, a lovely meal.

A regular Indian eatery at the heart of Ambleside. The food was really good, we enjoyed our meals. However the service was a little confusing. The waiters all served us seperately which made the process confusing. One waiter took our drinks order & another our food. When we asked for the bill we waited roughly 20 mins & had to ask a different waiter which attended quickly. A few of the waiters were polite enough to say thank you & enjoy your meal. If the restaurant would like to up their game I would advise using a little more professional staff.

Great food. We really enjoyed our family meal at Ishaas. The food was great and very tasty.Great customer service. We were really impressed! Having booked a table, we received a phone call half an hour earlier letting us know that the table was ready in case we wanted to go a bit earlier.Tables were well spaced out to observe COVID regulations.Would definitely come back again!
