Jintana Thai Restaurant, Bowness on Windermere in South Lakeland

Went here based on other reviews and it really goes to show how we are all different.It's a nice setting inside and service to begin with is very fast.On other reviews people have written about some dishes being halal but we asked and it wasn't. Not a big deal unless someone is falsifying information.We ordered 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 sides and 2 drinks. We just felt that we paid alot more here than we do in bigger cities that give better portions and tastier dishes.The food was ok.The Tom Yum Gung soup was overpriced for the portion given. It came in a small child size bowl.The Somtam thai salad was overpriced considering there were no meats or seafood in it.We ordered two varieties of rice.We also had the whole steamed seabass. This was presented nicely. It was decent and light.We ordered Pad Ka Pow Gung and it was absolutely the wrong dish that was given. And at this point we were just like we will eat pay and go and eat elsewhere as it wasn't satisfying.

Ordered a walk in takeaway from here. The lady behind the bar seems pretty clueless but managed to take My order. I was told it would be 30mins almost an hour later I got my food.The clueless waitress tried to over charge me by nearly £10 and had no idea what to do when I questioned it.Likely the food was amazing and very filling.I feel its a bit overpriced as it was £50 for two of usThe food is good but the service really let's it down

Delicious, fast food... 20mins from phone order to pick up... Friendly and patient telephonist who seemed to be on training but managed to make sense of my poor translation of the menu!...Only thing to note of caution is the small portion sizes for the price you pay when compared to other places within walking distance. Nice food but you may be left hungry.

Nailed the flavors! As the resident vegan, I got the gaeng panang dao hu with the coconut milk rice and it was absolutely out of this world. Their vegetarian curries were all made with coconut milk which made it so easy! Highly recommend this sweet spot.

If you like microwaved and stale food you will definitely enjoy it. Cant believe you call yourselves a restaurant and charge so much for food. Have some shame!!!!Avoid if you dont want to get sick and bad mood!!!!!

Lively experience here. Very authentic Thai food with a variety of choice. The fried rice inside of the pineapple was crispy and tasty. Coconut rice was fragrance and go really well with my red curry.Our servers was really nice even though we didn't have an appointment. They even run up and down to deliver food to our table which are not suppose to happen.talk about going the extra mile!

Lovely Thai food. Plenty of options for vegetarians and vegans. Staff always helpful and polite.

We had a very warm welcome from the staff. We are both vegetarian, and chose this restaurant because they have a wide selection of vegetarian dishes. We had three different starters to share, a main course each, and a desert each. All of the food was very tasty, of a good quantity, and beautifully presented. The décor and atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxing, and the music was unobtrusive but in keeping with a sedate pace to enjoy our food.

Surprisingly authentic Thai food in the heart of the Lake district. All of the dishes we ordered were delicious and we cannot recommend this place highly enough for anyone who wants to try the real Thai cuisine. A special mention must go to the fried corn cobs. They were mouthwatering, so don't let yourself down and do order them for starters.
