Lindeth Howe Country House Hotel in South Lakeland

Here for a couple of nights in April 2022. Lovely room on the ground floor, helpful staff and lovely food.

We have just returned from a 2 night stay. We had a fabulous time. The hotel was lovely, the food was outstanding and the staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble.

We chose this Hotel for our Wedding. We could not have asked for a better experience. Firstly the two members of staff Liz and Clare who catered to our every whim and more, you went above and beyond to make our day magical and we cannot thank you enough. To the chef, the kitchen staff and servers, the entire qedsing party thought the dining experience and the quality of the food was first class.The Hotel itself is beautifully presented, warm and welcoming, and we personally feel we could not have chosen a better venue.

This hotel has stunning decor and the more premium rooms are absolutely fabulous. Plenty of parking and set in a peaceful garden setting just out of Bowness. The food both at dinner and breakfast is superb. I will come again for a third visit.

What a beautiful place and the people running this place are about 100 times friendlier and more professional than the hotel across the road.

I have been here several times and it never disappoints. The staff were great, the room was lovely and the food fantastic. Looking forward to heading back next year.

An absolutely beautiful location. A beautiful hotel with so much character and a real breath of fresh air. The decor has a unique but fresh feel, keeping all the gems of its history whilst feeling like a top end boutique hotel. The views are fantastic and the gardens and beautiful.The staff are fantastically welcoming and the attention to detail is top notch.It’s our fourth visit and we simply wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

Although the setting of the hotel is beautiful, the staff in the dining room and bar are great and our evening meal was superb .... we had booked this for our honeymoon, a 3 night special treat away, after having to postpone our wedding 3 times, we were very disappointed in our room. We had mentioned this was our honeymoon when booking was made and the Lindeth Howe did respond saying they would make our stay as special as possible for us. We were given a room that we would say was below standard for the cost of our stay, let alone for a special occasion. The room was small, overlooking a very small area of car park, above the kitchen area. We were very disappointed as I've already mentioned. 😔

We visited on a bed, dinner and breakfast offer. The staff were really accommodating and helpful. The food was really superb, lots of lovely flavours and great quality. The area was perfect for winter walks. We really loved the venue and following our visit have chosen to get married here! I would definitely recommend.
