Linthwaite House in South Lakeland

Great hotel, very good service.

We returned to Linthwaite house for a two night stay. All the staff have been extremely helpful, friendly and professional. The hotel is clean and well maintained with comfortable areas to relax in the bar lounge. Simon Rogans Henrock restaurant served us delicious food day and night. Thank you for an unforgettable stay.

Had a nice stay in Aug 2021. Dog friendly. Convenient location without the crowds and the property was well maintained and had very nice view. I enjoyed the restaurants as food was excellent.

Linthwaite House has gotten it right. Everything from the design of the room and bathroom, to the decor used throughout the house is absolutely lovely. The property has a pond and very modern luxurious suites farther out from the main house, which has a beautiful conservatory. Everything here was to our taste and food was beautiful and delicious. You can tell the staff here love this place and are happy to share the experience with the guests.

We stayed at Linthwaite House for the weekend and the whole experience was outstanding. Beautifully clean and spacious rooms in a beautiful setting, great choices on the breakfast menu and food all really tasty. We also had dinner in the onsite restaurant ‘Henrock’ which was outstanding and perfect for a special and memorable meal. The bar also have a great selection of cocktails and wine. Staff were also really accommodating with the dog and had treats and a bed in the room. The only suggestion would be to have moisturiser in the room and more hangers by the door to hang coats.

It’s been about 6 months that we last went the Linthwaite House but we had such a wonderful time. Feeding the ducks at the boating lake was a real favourite and the friendliness of the staff really sets it apart. Can’t wait to return

Went to stay at Linthwaite House for my birthday. Hotel is beautiful and the friendliest staff. Everyone made us feel welcome. We dined at the restaurant and were absolutely blown away, food and service were amazing. The waiters took there time and described each dish as they brought it out. Although we didn't order wine the table next to us did and the wine expert certainly deserved the expert title. It's worth going just to try the bread that comes between courses (seriously, highlight of the stay). Breakfast was also amazing, you can to tell they only use high quality ingredients. The only reason it got 4 stars is because the room was very warm, and we had to sleep with the windows open and the pillows were uncomfortable. Will absolutely be staying again even if its just for the bread. Also as a bonus, free electric vehicle charging which was a bonus.

Absolutely gorgeous. One of the best hotels we have been to. Food fabulous, staff exceptional, rooms perfect, grounds and view stunning. 10 out of ten for everything.

Just had the hotel on the phone, cancelling our booking a week before our stay. Really unacceptable - just can't be doing this to customers at such short notice. They know all other hotels nearby are essentially booked up now so we're probably looking at cancelling our only holiday in over a year. Won't ever be visiting on the back of this.

Absolutely exceptional, I have to say as someone who is gluten free it is very rare that I get the opportunity to eat absolutely anything on the menu! What an amazing surprise and such attentive staff. The food is out of this world you will not be disappointed. The room we were in was lovely nothing too grand to boast about but it was.clean, nice modern decor and a lovely patio area to sit a drink tea on if the weather had been nicer!
