Little Chippy in South Lakeland

Ace little chippy that saved us! After wandering round most of the evening to see if a pub could squeeze us in for a birthday meal, we found this chip shop 10 minutes before closing. Staff were really friendly, great portions for the price, had lots on the menu and it was delicious. We were even offered a free fishcake- not that they knew it but they made our night!

Quick friendly service. Great sized piece of piping hot, juicy, freshly cooked haddock with crisp batter and well cooked, not fatty chips. Good value as well.

Best fish and chips ever … delicious fresh fish, light and crispy batter, tasty chips. Highly recommend.

Arrived in Windermere late and tired, so a quick takeaway was the only option. Staff were friendly and service was quick, but £4 for 6 Mac and cheese bites seemed a rip off, the burgers were tiny for the price, with nowt else on them, just a burger on bun, £2.50 for a large chips which was a half filled polystyrene container. I know everything costs loads more up here but blimey!!

Haddock and chips at £7.50 should be better. Chips unpleasant and batter chewy even sloppy on the inside. No decent chippy in S Cumbria so no need to try to hard. Nice place and nice staff, but no return visit from me.

Uncooked batter ruined this meal. On all the fish and battered haggis. Disgusting

Big portion for a good price compared to places around. Taste was good and nice crunchy crispiness. Banana for scale.

Came here this evening after seeing postive reviews definitely recommended!!!Huge portions, delicious and tasty fish and chips! Curry was lovely and fruity.The man who worked in there (don't know if he owned the shop) took pleasure to ask how we was doing and asked us our plans and gave us places to go and visit! Very friendly 5 star service!!Thank you

Hands down a must-try chip shop! The fish and chips is a must have lunch while you’re in Windermere! Lightly battered and absolutely delicious! Grab a side of the curry sauce to dip your fries in - it won’t disappoint! Mark is an incredibly friendly face with great recommendations if you’re looking for walks around the area!

Nice old building with a nice flower display outside. Service was fast and friendly. I just went for a regular chips for 2.30. I was allowed to add salt and vinegar to taste. Good sized portion.
