If this is the best Chinese in the area, then the people of this area lead a disenchanted life. egg fried rice was unsalted and the mapo tofu was just an abomination whitewashed tofu dish

Really tasty. I had Singapore Rice Noodles they were cooked to perfection.

Very good Chinese, the best in the area. The best meaty Peking ribs, excellent rice dishes, large portions, very reasonable prices and a friendly service. I would highly recommend if your in the area. We drove from Ambleside to pick up a take away and it was well worth the extra drive!

Magic Wok keep up the magic!!, I'm the most fussiest, person when it comes to most things especially food and normally give food reviews a wide bearth as taste can be so subjective. But I have to give credit where its due. This is the best Chinese I've had in years. Order well in advance as these guys are busy and it could take up to an hour to receive your order, but it's well worth the wait. When I visit Windermere again you guys will be my first port of call.

Amazing quality of food. Even the next day's leftovers were better than most place's first day offering! The rice was so fluffy.

A True Gem... We visited twice during our holiday in Windermere and we were not disappointed.. The food was very tasty and plentiful (I had the Singapore style vermicelli, it was delicious).. The service was fabulous. We will definitely return on our next holiday here. 5☆'s

Best Chinese restaurant/take away place I have been to. Prices are decent, portions are large and the taste is amazing. Can't praise it enough We will definitely have another take away soon

I must say as someone from HK, I’m a little skeptical when I order from almost any Chinese takeaway store! But Magic wok is so good! I had their Singaporean fried noodles (and ask them to give me extra spices!) and I felt that I was back to HK! This is basically a fried rice noodles with curry taste with char Siu and prawns😋all goodies packed in one!And their prawn toasts are crispy and flavourful. Went well with beer!highly recommend!

I wouldn’t go here unless you are Chinese. We walked in and the restaurant was empty. We were told there were no tables until 8.30 (it was 7.30 when we walked in). We came back at 8.15, all the same tables still empty. We were shown to our table. We ordered food and waited.A large Chinese party came in about 15 minutes later and ordered. Their food started to arrive. They are and left. We were still waiting for our food which we had ordered before them.It was clear they were getting priority. Another couple that arrived just after us still had no food after 1.5 hours. The food when it eventually arrived was ok, but definitely not worth the wait.

Great food. Great staff. The place is a little small, it is also a little run down out the back near the toilets with obvious signs that they are short on space, however the food was really really nice and the staff are on the ball. Even topping up our glasses when they were getting low.We liked it and ate everything.
