Masons Yard 24 in South Lakeland

Brilliant place. We visited a couple of years ago when it had recently opened. On this visit I could not remember where it was and then came across this place. Found it. Still as good as I remembered.

New Manager who now allows dog into the bar.No food available at this pub.Easy access to toilets on ground floor and outside seating areas to rear of pub, all on ground level.Good selection of beers and spirits and showssporting events on main bar tv.

Nice place. I was there on a Tues evening so quite quiet but friendly atmosphere. Offer on a Tues of £1 off a pint so an absolute bargain. Very clean toilets too

Wasn’t even able to get in. Me and my partner were having a lovely weekend away for our anniversary, fancied a quiet drink to finish off our lovely day, however before we had even entered we were turned away with the excuse “we are about to close” when the place was full of people with full pints, and they didn’t close for another hour. Clearly only want their locals and no one else. We could easily of had our 1 drink at the hotel but thought it would have been nice to check out the local businesses, obviously not. Completely embarrassing on their behalf as we simply went back to our hotel and had some lovely evening drinks to finish off our night. The only people losing out is them. There is no possible way to justify it even if they were closing within the hour the whole attitude and the way we were spoken to was appalling and the door was slammed in our faces. If I was this establishment I wouldn’t even bother replying. Shame I have to give it 1 star considering I haven’t even seen the inside of the pub.

Nice atmosphere and nice place inside. Good for a few drinks. Brilliant outdoor area with loads of space .

Really really good food here. I had the Cheese and Onion Pie with 'Shoestring' chips and enjoyed every bit of it. Even the veg!The menu is quite varied and looks to cater for lots of different diets. I really enjoyed the garlic bread and Chicken 'popcorn' as well as the calamari. I don't see any sign of discrimination nor bad food as other reviews have suggested. Though I did visit on a Tuesday afternoon so there was no rushing the cooking staff 😁.Thank you for making our trip to Kendal so lovely.

Would not have found this place if I had not googled first. Tucked away down a sidestreet its very unimposing. Yet the service was exceptional before we even got to food with nothing being too much bother.Was looking for a Sunday roast and this was exceptional. A mix of beef and chicken, with seasonal veg on the side with full flavour. Roast potatoes crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Perfection.The mason mess for dessert which was to die for.No pretences here, just solid good food at a great price! I will be back.

The food was delicious with a very wide selection. The prices were affordable and the staff was very friendly. I definitely recommend it! :)

I didn't eat here, only had a few quiet pints at night, nice atmosphere and the back beer garden is stunningThey have little fires aswell to keep you warm 🔥🔥Not bad if your taking a bit of hot stuff out and want a quick drink before dinner
