Meadowdore Restaurant & Cafe in South Lakeland

Great place with large rooms and excellent breakfast. Perfect location and lovely, cheerful staff. Highly recommended.

Probably the smallest and most expensive breakfast we have had all week in the Lakes, certainly not enough for a days walking. The sausage was nice though.

The small fish and chips takeaway worth every penny and big portion plus the gravy is tasty add on.And lovely place to sit outside and eat with nice staff

A 3 to 4 star rating. Good points you got a pot of hot water to freshen your tea pot which was good. Breakfast was okay, nothing fantastic but certainly edible enough. Not quite enough butter with the toast and no hash brown on my partner's plate but we didn't tell anyone and I'm sure they would have sorted it if we had. Staff were pleasant and service was quick.

I ordered pasty chips peas and gravy. What the menu didn't say was that peas were mushy peas. The pasty was, chicken bacon and leek. Sadly the pasty was heated by microwave instead of an oven, so the pastry was soft. The filling was quite mushy with very small discernable pieces of chicken. I couldn't identify any bacon or Leek. I don't think I'll be going back. Thankfully the ice-cream was good.

Coffee was delicious and most importantly, gluten free was available. Staff knowledgeable and friendly.

Lovely fresh breakfast, not grease or fatty. Will definitely go again.

Great breakfast. Two of us had the veggie breakfast and the other full English. Very nice and was filling. It's not cheap, but nowhere in Coniston is. But it's comparative. Staff very friendly. The water dispenser is a nice touch for a free glass of water just next to the counter. Went again on the Saturday but were told that it only opens at 10. The website does say 09.00 to 17.00 7 days a week, so was a bit disappointed with that because it was part of the morning plan before heading home. Not enough to take a star off though because the food was good and the staff were friendly.

Cute little cafe, £7.50 for a small breakfast which was one long sausage, 2 slices of bacon and a fryed egg, with a pot of beans.It was tasty, bought two rounds of toast as well.Staff were really friendly .Toilets clean.Not too good on clearing away or wiping seats and tables for next customers but would call again.
