To be honest, I won’t recommend this place to anyone. We did a good amount of takeaway on sat evening and let me be straight forward.Veg samosa’s were gone off, we could literally smell it.Naan breads were loaded with sugar and burnt from the back. All curries are prepared using the same base - a good amount of sugar, not with authentic spices. In case of mix grill - too much of the food colouring (red) and sugar again. It’s no where close to any Indian cuisine. Please improve your hygiene and food quality.

Ordered food to takeaway as was staying at a local lodge. All food fresh and extremely tasty. Will 100% return when back in the area.

We didn’t book so they accommodated us best they could. Service was on slow side due to short staffing not expecting to be full restaurant mid week but they apologised and were really friendly. Food was really nice and fresh. I loved my chicken shashlik never had before chicken marinated lovely. All family enjoyed different dishes and price was very reasonable. , portions were plentiful. Would eat there again and Manager very pleasant considering he was ran off his feet. Definitely try !

Really superb! Staff were very attentive and polite. Food was absolutely delicious, blended herbs and spices which awakened my pallet. Highly recommended.

Expected a little too much from this restaurant. Ordered a few dishes and found out that the Chicken tikka was hard as wood, and the main dish was floating in excess oil. I knew it wasn't proper Indian restaurant as most of the restaurants in the area are Bangladeshi but the food was disappointing.

We went here on Saturday 12th February 2022. Myself and my partner were staying the night in Windermere and didn't think about restaurants being booked up for Valentines. We managed to get in here and I am really glad we did. We had Tandoori Lamb Chops for our starter and Chicken Tikka Chilli, pilau rice and a nan bread. We have eaten at some nice Indian restaurants before both at home and in places where we have stayed but I must saying by far the food at Mela is amazing. There was so much flavour and the meat was soft and not fatty.I can't wait to go to Windermere again for the night as we will definitely come here again and we want to bring our daughter. The staff were really professional and pleasant too.

I always have my favourite dish Chicken Tikka Vindaloo when I visit and I have to say it's one of the most consistent restaurants I visit. The staff here are simply brilliant, always a great service I can't thank them enough.5*

Service was excellent, food was good overall too and prices were ok. The garlic naan was a bit sweet though and the interior is a bit small.
