miller howe in South Lakeland

We were visiting from Australua. We had a wonderful stay and decided to extend for another day.Fernando the owner and the staff were super friendly and extremely helpful. They easily upgraded our rooms upon our request to a lake view room which was amazing. The breakfast and dinner were superb.I definitely recommend this place.

Stopped in for a coffee and a scone. Could you ask for a better setting!? Absolutely stunning views of the lake with beautiful grounds to boot! 10/10 is on the list to stay a few nights next time we're back in the Lake District

Lovely staff who couldn't do enough to make our stay a pleasurable experience. Good food from a small menu, excellently presented and cooked. Is in the process of refurbishment but it has superb views and charm

Had a lovely stay here for our 1st wedding anniversary. The meal was good. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Room was lovely and clean with an amazing view.

At the moment they are doing some renovation work, very little to detract you from enjoying the beautiful view, amazing hospitality and exsqisite food. I've just enjoyed an excellent birthday there. Many thanks to Adam and Chef. Will see you soon Rita-Ann & Ralph Dennis

Really enjoyed my visit to the Miller Howe Hotel. It has a quaint charm with stunning views both from our bedroom and from the lounge and dining areas. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, the food excellent and the beds 'crisply-linened' and super comfy. I find chain hotels a bit dull and characterless, so Miller Howe is my kind of place. I'll be back!

Came here for afternoon tea. We were seated in the conservatory, this could have done with a good clean. When they brought out our tea we found the sandwiches very cold, just out of a fridge or frozen bread. The scones were very dry and crumbly been kept warm too long . The cakes were average and very small. Our coffee came and was very week. Although they did bring us a fresh one when we complained . The best thing we found were the staff, very friendly and helpful. Not somewhere I would recommend.

No other words to describe it... just superb. The cuisine is out of this world. The staff are incredibly accommodating, knowledgeable and friendly. I have only ever eaten here and look forward to the day when I can experience their hotel rooms. A real treat with stunning views that overlook a very peaceful windermere lake. Will visit again... just hope it will be soon!

A charming hotel situated between Bowness and Windermere. Once the place where John Tovey reined supreme. The hotel has very friendly and attentive staff who serve fine food and drinks. Large comfortable rooms with exquisite views of lake Windermere. Fine dining with fantastic views across the length of Lake Windermere, the hotel has a good choice of wines at reasonable prices. Well worth a visit.

My friends and I stopped by the Miller Howe Hotel for some cream teas after a walk around Windermere. The service we received was excellent and the views from the garden at the rear of the property were astounding. Tea and scones were delicious - I can't fault anything about our visit. Well worth calling in!
