No 17 Chippy in South Lakeland

Bread bun was stale and not buttered. Fish and chips tasted bland. Edible but not great.

Staff are really good at their job, the food is proper good quality, especially the battered marsbar. Fish and chips are really good, batter was crisp and fresh aswell as the fish being cooked well. Great service and quick orders. Would go again

Ordered the pulled pork burger and fish and chips. the pulled pork burger was incredible the pork itself was so flavoursome, the batter on the fish was lovely and crispy and fish was amazing will definitely be keeping a eye on specials from now on.

Absolutely amazing chippy, staff are so friendly me and my son absolutely loved our fish and chips. Very quick making our food aswell thank you very much.

This is the best chippy around. Battered mars bars are peng. Staff told me that they were peng so I got one and he was right. And the sausages are beautiful aswell. Will be going again, great spot.😍

Just had fish and chips from here. Lovely crispy batter on the fish and a good size too! Plenty of chips and not at all greasy. Well cooked, quick service and good value for money. Will be back!

The fish & chips we had from here last night were dreadful. Everything was too greasy. The fish content was small, tasteless, dried out and covered in overcooked disgusting batter. The onion rings were inedible. And they failed to enclose a slice of lemon when they specifically said lemon was included. I drove past at 8pm intending to complain in person but it was closed so will phone them today.AVOID.

Called at lunchtime today and we had the spicy chicken burgers. They were absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back!

If you go order jumbo haddock you won’t be disappointed, great find cooker fresh to order

I went on a Saturday evening and the place was totally empty and no one else came in all the time I was there...that sent alarm bells ringing! I thought at least it'll be cooked fresh. The fish was and nice, but the chips were awful: dry, tough, brown and obviously old. Very disappointed and it wasn't cheap at £15 for two fish and chips! I won't be going there again! I feel like phoning for a refund!!
