Pizza Express in South Lakeland

Lovely meal at Pizza Express last week. Excellent food and used our 'free dough balls' via the app if you sign up for the first time. The restaurant was busy but a quick service was given. The staff were very good!

Took the family for a meal on an early Sunday evening. Food was great and well presented, and always appreciate the good vegan range at Pizza Express as one of my children had dairy and egg allergies.However, service was very slow and not particularly attentive, and we encountered a number of other minor issues with our server.

Staff were busy but service was still good. Great choice of vegan pizzas, nice to have several to choose from hehe. Does one star because the strawberries and chocolate dessert was a fiver for exactly 5 strawberries... very overpriced. Eveything else was great though!

Staff were lovely but wine was not cold and had to send my dessert back because it had a hair and an insect on it. Don't go for the strawberries. Obviously out of season and have been kicking around for a while.

Lovely place, nice and clean and not very busy on the Monday night that we booked. The staff were all very friendly and highly efficient. We tried a couple of the new items like the pizza/salad combo, that was great. I had the 4-cheese pizza with Italian blue cheese, it was super. Although slightly sparcely populated with cheese, the taste was great. Kids menu was sufficient but the bolonaise was heavily tomato'ed and slightly acidic in taste. Thank you for the extra care for my daughters birthday. The chocolate brownie on the big plate with "Happy Birthday " dusted with icing sugar was a special treat for her. Thank you.

What an amazing option for struggling vegans ! Great taste ! Quick delivery ! Pizza was a little cold on arrival but the taste was so good it didn't matter !! Totally recommended!!

Booked a table for 7.15pm. On arrival, we were told there would be a slight delay in getting our food. I never expected it to be an hour and 20 mins.I understand they were short staffed, but no one came over to apologise. We were about to leave when the food arrived. We did complain and received a discount though. Not a great experience.

We arrived when no one was at the restaurant. They were surprisingly very slow and we had a burnt garlic bread too. It is not worth the price and not worth the wait. I've been to pizza express in many countries, but this was the most disappointing. The pizza was not well topped too.

Pizza Express Kendal was a great place to enjoy a meal. There was the lively buzz of conversation, the waiting staff not too intrusive and the food was really good. We spent just under £55 for 3 courses for two including drinks. The vegan nourish bowl was really tasty and the Honeycomb dessert has a nice crunch. Also you aren't made to hurry through your meal. We, my wife and I spent a very pleasent 2 hours there and could have stayed longer. İt is best to book at the moment. The staff aren't wearing masks but we saw the tables being cleaned well between customers, including the chairs. One of the waitresses, from Budapest originally, was very friendly and chatted to us. Remember to book and I believe you will have a great evening.

First meal out/inside since the latest lockdown lift and Pizza Express was NEEDED. Food was perfect 👌🏻 the halloumi bites with romesco sauce which are NEW to the menu are great!
