Really fresh and well cooked fish, very good chippy

Beautiful fish. Could not fault it . Chips not very good. Very dry and not much taste.

I can totally see why this place has won so many awards. There are multiple delicious vegan options, and the chips (which are such a nice colour and texture) are cooked in separate oil from the fish, etc. This chippy also uses eco-friendly cutlery and packaging. The staff are very friendly and informative (ideal if you have specific dietary requirements) and I was also very impressed at the value for money (good portion sizes). Best chippy in the Furness area!

Good food. Good service. Reasonable prices. Plenty of menu options. On-street parking. The picnic tables are nice on a sunny day.

Best Haddock and chips I have EVER tasted. Stopped off enroute and so glad we did. The fish was thick and tasty, batter was to died for and not at all greasy, even though fish was straight out fresh cooked, and the chips seem to have a slight coating that makes them nice and crispy. 100% well worth the money and we highly recommend a not to miss if you are in the area. ❤

Found this chippy after a quick Google on leaving safari zoo and saw the reviews. Glad we came as it didn't disappoint! 2 happy adults and 3 happy children!

I normally read reviews and then go hunting down a chip shop but this one we stumbled across by pure chance returning from Piel Island one day.Awesome 5* fish and chip shop.Recommended

Oh my word!!! The best fish and chips in Ulverston by far. Ordered on line for collection and was greeted by friendly staff when picking up. My fish was fresh and batter delicious. Everyone else agreed that the Priory Plaice fish and chips were the best they’d had.P.S curry sauce is amazing!

The best Fish & Chips we've had for as long as I can remember, batter was lovely and crisp, fish was fresh and well sized. Chips also excellent. All very tasty and great portion size. Can't wait to go again!

Best chippy around! Everything is served in eco trays so if you want to you can take your fish and chips to the beach and enjoy it while you look out over the bay 😊 fish is always cooked to perfection and the gravy is pretty good too. The portions are pretty big!!
