The Lancrigg Hotel is a very special place.Just away from Grasmere village, it’s another world... perfect peace and tranquillity.Paul and the Lancrigg Team are the best. Stayed one night while doing the coast to coast walk. Fantastic hotel, the owner Fab and Rebecca were wonderful. The food, rooms etc were all lovely. Thank you Joan and Jaqueline (17/5/2022)

Paul, Fab and the team were so welcoming during our 2 night stay, nothing was too muhc trouble. The food was great and we really enjoyed sitting in the bar of an evening relaxing with the stunning views. The location is great with only a short walk into Grasmere. We'll be back.

Had a lovely lunch .The gluten free sandwich was very well presented made me feel so special the ham was thick and juicy and overall a really lovely lunch .We will certainly be coming back .Thankyou

We had a really lovely time. The weather was typically 'Lake District' but that didn't matter. Lancrigg was so peaceful and the staff were great. We were made to feel very welcome. We will definitely return.

Lovely pit stop on the way back from our hike. The poets bar is fab and their garden area is great for a sunny day. Parking all day here for £6 which is great value too

A great setting, decor throughout the hotel and really great staff. You can tell they source exceptional local produce....the breakfast is superb!

Amazing country house hotel set in beautiful grounds . Made to feel at home as soon as we arrived . Stayed for 3 nights and ate lunch and dinner ever day ; with food as good as they were producing there was no point going anywhere .The whole place was spotlessly clean and to a high standard with plenty of character from days gone by .The energy , courtesy and service from Paul , was reiterated by all of his staff and a credit to the industry .We will have no hesitation in returning or recommending to others .

This may sound a bit rambling apologies but here we go!We have just the most amazing weekend at the Lancrigg with a party of 15! Due to the numbers Paul decided to close the hotel off to other bookings we effectively had the run of the place.It was decided we would all eat together so for breakfast a full English this was provided on platters so you could pick and choose what you wanted the breakfast was hot and well prepared even after the power cut one morning when they had 20 minutes to get everything cooked & served to the starving masses! Thrown into the mix our 1 Veggie was well looked after also!For our Saturday evening meal we decided on a hot and cold buffet the standard was hard to beat with a fantastic choice for everyone to say we were stuffed would be an understatement.The bar was well stocked and well used with great service from the entire team and having the lounge to ourselves was a real bonus as we could be a little noisy at times so no other guests were bothered.The snow helped the magic of Grasmere be a little more enhanced the real bonus was the fact we all arrived on the Friday and no vehicles were used until going home on Monday!!If you have a group speak to Paul & his team they will look after you!I could write so much more but we will be back hopefully many times in the future.
