River Fortune in South Lakeland

Restaurant closed due to refurbishment yet does not state that till you get there

Kept waiting on the phone for 12 minutes whilst serving in person customers. That's terrible customer service.

Answered phone straight away for order and on time with order very friendly and pleasant staff and super food delivered thank you River Fortune 😜

Visited here and wasn’t happy about the food. Wasn’t that good and the BBQ ribs had no taste and very hard to chew. The chicken wings were not fried properly bad the yung chow fried rice had no char siu. They should train their chefs.

Brilliant Chinese! My husband and I got takeout, I rang up and organised a collection time. Food was lovely and warm, extremely tasty and is definitely the best Chinese we’ve ever had. Such good OK sauce, and lovely fresh chicken.

Really great food and quality and thankfully was worth the wait given that from our phone order when husband said he’d bring his card, it wasn’t pointed out to us it was cash only 😮 Cue husband traipsing in to town for cash, locking his pin, me going to rescue him, all to pay for the takeaway. Had it not been for that, we’d give it 5 stars for value and taste

Food was ok. Had to wait 15 mins past the time I was told to go and collect my food

Been a few times recently food was good but got some of the order wrong once but it was only the rice

5 stars purely for the special phad Thai and crispy seaweed. The phad Thai had the perfect amount of meat and when asked for extra prawns, they delivered. The perfect amount of lemon on the noodles. So good. The cripsy seaweed isn't too salty and not at all greasy, I could eat it on its own. Cannot recommend enough!

My favourite chinese, really good takeaway fast service and 9 times out of 10 food is perfect, also they have 5 stars from the food standards agency.
