Rusland Pool Restaurant & Bar in South Lakeland

Had a lovely sweet and sour chicken, 5 of us on total all had a excellant meal, clean tables, friendly and helpful staff

Old style pub/hotel trying to be better and succeeding in small ways. It's better than its 2 star rating.

The staff were very helpful, out of the 4 people in my party I was the only one leaving at 7.45am the next morning.I was booked in for a sponsored skydive at Skydive Northwest only 15mins from the hotel. The staff made me up a small bag of food to take with me the following morning. Also the put some of their tips together and sponsored my skydive. Which went really well thank you to all the staff.

The best meal out we have had in many many years, 4 adults & 4 kids. Great options for all dietary requirements, true home made chips, great portions and amazingly quality. Absolutely delicious & will visit again, thanks for great service & food!

On the way back from The Lakes we stopped at Rusland Pool Hotel for a meal.We've passed many times, never called in as you tend to think "let's get where we're going", or "let's get home now".It was a very pleasant stop off, the meals were lovely, and the staff very welcoming.Don't pass by, call in, break up your journey, we shall be returning.Thank you very much for a great meal.

Cute hotel, friendly staff. Free parking available, good wifi. Breakfast was yum. Although the rooms are a bit old.

Nice pub at side of a busy road. Nicely decorated and has a large parking area. Service very good as was the food with a large and varied menu.

Love this place, staff extremely helpful and friendly, food like your mother used to cook, in a great location too. Room was really clean, What more do you want? Great for visiting surround places like Newby Bridge and Fell Foot!!Just wanted to add that this morning I left my tablet in the room and the owners rang me straight away to tell me it was safe behind reception, thank you so much Rusland Pool ill defo be back

Stayed for 2 nights, lovely clean and friendly hotel. Our room was in the extension of the hotel and was well furnished with a very comfy bed and modern bathroom. The food including breakfast was delicious. We will definitely be back.

Had a sit down in restaurant meal....starter was haggis with black pudding and an egg on top. Plate was actually stone cold...egg was totally stone cold and the yoke had slipped off the white and was swimming around on the plate on its own..The main was nothing to write home about at all...all overpriced...I did complain about the egg and the cold plate to no avail...the dish should never have been served to me in that state anyway...especially when the staff pointed it out to me ..even the waitress mentioned the fact that the egg had broken up...but still served it to me...won't be going again !!!!
