Sheila's Cottage Restaurant in South Lakeland

This place is very busy and is a hidden Gem of a place.We were welcomed at the door with our little dog and seated straight away.Promptly provided with menu’s, a bowl of water and a dog biscuit. 🐶🐾We ordered Soup and the Rarebit which was promptly bought to us piping hot.We noticed another table had a portion of chunky chips and so promptly added to our order as they looked, and tasted delicious.Would definitely recommend Sheila’s Cottage for its prompt service, attentive staff and delicious food. 👍👍

Lovely little find in Ambleside. Inside has lovely decor and the staff are friendly. The food was lovely with good sized portions too (although a little bit overpriced). The chips were amazing - crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside!!!

We had a lovely evening with great food and service. So lovely to be served a family sized bowl of steamed veg with our main course. Superbly cooked and the whole meal was delicious. The waiter was charming, offering us help in where to visit locally and we made friends with other diners. Great atmosphere, reasonably priced and delicious food! Will definitely come again!

We were seated immediately and looked after for our entire meal by the lovely staff. The food was unforgettable and some of the best I've had in Lake District 😋 Highly recommend the salmon!

Great experience, the food is great and the staff are really friendly. One of our favourite places in town. Highly recommended the Westmorland Ramequin.

Absolutely fantastic. One of the best places we've eaten in the UK, delicious food served promptly with great variety. Whilst there we tried to book the next day, unsurpringly it was fully booked! If you're in the area then I'd highly suggest booking in.

If we could give more stars I would . Very sweet young waitress … brought dog water out straight away. The venue is cosy and friendly . Everything is clearly home made . Highly recommend .
