Stags Head Hotel in South Lakeland

So so. Big place.a few pool tables. Not a very broad or local selection or drinks. One of the few places in Windermere that has security at night. Can get rowdy. Accommodation is ok. We had very noisy neighbours.

Everything about this place is spot on staff are amazing rooms are comfortable. Would deffo recommend staying here central for everything too.

1st time here loved it even when it was rocking I'll definitely try to book in there again . My advice is go and enjoy your time there because you will

Friendly pub with sport channels. £4 a pint, so average for area. Food menu looked reasonable

Lovely roast dinner reasonably priced for the Lake District. Nice friendly pub with snooker, darts and massive tvs 👍

Visited on the 22nd of Jan on an annual families trip of Mums who met in Pre natal group many years ago and all families meet for the weekend. We stayed in the local Hostel and after a lake tip called in the Stags head. There was 48 of us kids and adults and most ordered food. The chef and waiting staff including the bar staff were amazing and welcoming, and food and beer excellent. Thanks for accommodating us all we had a great day. Kev

Lovely impromptu visit. Staff were lovely, lunch was great! We were both full all day! Lovely pub. 👍

Staff were really friendly and helpful. Food was tasty and hot. I reccomend the steak and ale pie.

The worst place I've ever stayed! I was actually shocked. Doesn't deserve one star. The room was clean but in need of updating, the mattress on the bed had no spring left in it, clearly very old. £130 for one night, overpriced is an understatement. The bar area was so grubby, didn't dare eat breakfast, left early.
