Station Restaurant in South Lakeland

Guys.. you serve great food and if you sit inside you get your food served on a real plate. Why would you serve food in cardboard boxes for the outside diners.? This is the only thing that lets you down.your prices are not takeaway prices and the standard of the food is reflected by the price. We had railwaymans breakfasts and the very pleasant staff returned our food and put it onto plates so we sat inside instead but really....do away with the boxes no matter where you sit.

Cheery staff, lovely tearoom but most Importantly the food was tasty and v generous. Top marks to the chef!!

One hot chocolate and one coffee a total price rip off .Hot chocolate tasted 95% water and quite tastless for £3.55 ,coffee so strong nearly undrinkable and not milky at all ,again well overpriced .Disappointed at greedy prices

Absolutely beautiful food at this tea room. Very clean and cosy with a beautiful stove keeping the room nice and warm. A very nice treat for after a trip on the steam train.

Excellent Xmas Dinner. Went there with friends early December and had lovely prawn and avocado salad for starters (with brown bread and butter) and chose the perfectly cooked turkey dinner. Mash,roasted potatoes parsnips carrots, peas red cabbage ,nice thick slices of turkey and gorgeous gravy . Delicious, tasty food. Efficient friendly service .Definitely recommend.

Great food for great price, very nice interior and very friendly and helpful service. Definitely I can recommend that place if you like great taste food for good price in the warm and peaceful climate.

Good food and a variety of Gluten free food available.

Good place to grab a tea or coffee takeout whilst waiting for your train. Plenty of seating areas in the station. There is also a picnic area over the bridge if you bring your own food.

Great place to spend a couple of hours. The food is homely and tasty, the prices are slightly higher than locally and the staff are friendly.
