Steam Bistro in South Lakeland

We've been here numerous times and it never disappoints, the food is deliciously fantastic & the service is wonderfully friendly...can't fault a thing!

Absolutely brilliant time at Steam Bistro last weekend. From the initial booking, everyone there was incredibly helpful and friendly and gave us a wam welcome on the night. Relaxed atmosphere, excellent service and wonderful food. Really wish that we lived closer so we could be regular customers. Very highly recommended!

Truly excellent food - in a cosy environment with friendly staff. Also incredibly good value. We paid half the price of food of this standard enjoyed in other places. I’ve eaten in Michelin star restaurants with fancy looking but much less tasty fare.

Absolutely amazing food! Such a nice chill vibe and really nice pleasant staff. Best meal we’ve had out in a long, long time and everything is so reasonably priced too. Our new fav restaurant! Blown away. Props to the chef what a queen.

We visited on a recommendation and were not disappointed. The flavours of the starters and the main courses were superb. Only downfall was we were too full for dessert. The staff were so polite and friendly and the atmosphere is so calming. A must to try if you can . We will definitely come again on our next visit.

Really amazing food, an Oasis in the culinary desert that is Coniston, reasonably priced for the quality of food, bring your alcohol, so we had champagne to celebrate a birthday. Always had a wonderful experience here, already looking forward to the next visit.

Fantastic little bistro. We had the Sunday lunch which was extremely fresh and tasty. You know when food is made with love and care? Well it came through in abundance here. Staff friendly and welcoming. Greeting us by name as we walked in having remembered us from booking the table a few nights prior. A must if you are in coniston ❤️

Fully booked when we enquired, so clearly very popular. Very friendly and kindly called us back when they had a cancellation. Lovely food, well cooked and an interesting menu making a nice change from the standard restaurant chain food. Pleasant, convivial, quiet atmosphere. We booked again.
