Wow. It is not often that I like somewhere more the second time I visit but this place is a must if you like tapas or are in the lake District, even if you don't like tapas? Some of the best food you will get, the end. I only have a photo of the pudding but all the food was first class.

Stopped in for some tapas on a Friday evening. Little bit chilly but the 2 outside tables are heated. Service is exceptional and the quality of food and drinks did not disappoint.Lots of great choice for dining in Windermere but if you fancy tapas, give it a go!

The best tapas we ever have. Every single dish we ordered was taste great. Food is fresh and authentic . Really surprised we found such lovely papas restaurant while we visit Windermere. Be sure to reserve before go there. No wonder it is a very busy place.

We went to various restaurants over our week-long stay so far we find Tapio's food the best and services are excellent. Special thanks to the manager for the 'light' version of lemonade to trick our kids. A restaurant with good food run by great people, I would highly recommend. The potato and meatballs are definitely worth trying.

Excellent evening.Neither of us had tried Tapas for a while but were not disappointed.Food was delicious (ordered 5 dishes between us)......mushrooms were particularly yummy😋Drinks reasonably priced, super atmosphere, chatty staff with particular mention to the owners father( who I think had more than a passing resemblance to Billy Connolly....or is that just me😱)Will return when in area again

OMG! This is the best of the best restaurants we had during this 4 days Windermere trip!Really really satisfying food, excellent service, convenient location, reasonable prices for tapasWe got lucky today, get 2 people outside seats without booking. But strongly recommend to book avoid disappointments.Average price for a tapas is around £6-9. Parking is free along Windermere high street after 5pm.Definitely, definitely will come back next time we are in Windermere.

I found myself in Windemere, peak season and looking for a table for one. So many restaurants with "fully booked" signs up making my choice limited. The Tapios opened at 5pm and had several bookings waiting, but managed to get me in the early sitting.Well the stress melted away once I was seated. A wonderful ambiance, with subtle table and environment lighting, good decor and greenery making it feel as Mediterranean as you could in the soggy lake District.A good selection of tapas was on offer so a "one of each" approach seemed appropriate. Bit of meat, bit of fish, bit of veg.Squid, chicken, and mushrooms, which seemed a good combination. The service was great, a little small talk even though the restaurant was filling up, drinks arrived swiftly, and the tapas, shortly after. The squid was well cooked, not rubbery and with a light batter. The chicken was spicy, but not overly so and the small bed of salad had a high quality balsamic vinegar applied. The mushrooms had a fantastically Herby hot salsa with stringy cheese to complement. The bill was bought when asked and a great meal experience was had.I couldn't fault it so left a 25% tip. Because it was worth it.Great food,Great service,Great experience.

After searching through Google reviews for something a little different I came across this restaurant. We were luckily able to get a table as walk-ins and were immediately greeted with a great atmosphere. The music and the venue combined with the general chit chat and family-friendly vibe. We ordered a jug of Sangria between two (which amounted to about 3 glasses each) and also ordered 6 different items off the menu to share, in typical fashion for a tapas restaurant. The staff did bring some of lighter options first such a bread and hummus. Our other orders included spicy chicken wings, fried halloumi, fired potatoes, chorizo and prawns and beef with mushrooms. All the food was flavourful and cooked very well. We found the staff attentive and friendly and thoroughly enjoyed our time during our meal. I highly recommend booking if you can- be aware that calling between 16:00-17:00 is best to speak to a staff member.
