Tata's Cafe & Restaurant in South Lakeland

Ate here with a friend yesterday. Ordered coffee but couldn't drink it as it was tasteless. Sent it back and had a pot of tea instead, this was the same! Like hot water with milk. We both ordered toasted sandwiches but they where dry, no salad or coleslaw like the menu said. Won't be calling here again.

A sweet little cafe but it could be so much better! The food needs a little more thought and finese.Cut the fat off the bacon , slice the sausage and serve in a nice bread roll not sliced bread , its all a bit transport cafe ! I'd additionally ditch the music not necessary its so cosy you don't need music to spoil the atmosphere.It's a very nice cafe but they just think about how they present their food .

Excellent cafe, full English was superb, def recommend it. Although short staff the wait was well worth it. Tata is lovely & very friendly. I miss not going there for my breakfast 😢 5 stars x

Brilliant little cafe serving the best full English breakfast in kirkby Lonsdale lovely owner and friendly staff.

The service here was not great, we waited a good 10mins before I had to gain the waiting staffs attention to order, this should have given me a warning of what to expect… Considering there are only 6 tables in the cafe, by the time the food arrived, we’d already finished our drinks! To top it off, they got the order wrong… Maybe we just caught them on a bad day 😬

Great full English breakfast, clean cafe, friendly staff, loved

This is a simple cafe, in that it offers a small menu and has one person working to around 5 tables/18 people. It's clean, has good coffee, is dog friendly and the lady who runs it is welcoming.To make simple work properly, the basics need to be excellent, not OK. It would benefit from having either an extra member of staff or not serving hot food.

What a lovely find. Friendly service, amazing food and spotless. Prices OK. You get what you pay for. Definitely returning.

Staff nice and friendly but the scone wasn't fresh and the crumpets not hot. Shame really as it seemed a happy little spot. The pot of tea was great. And they are dog friendly too.

Please Know .. A Full English Breakfast Comes With Toast !!The Full English Breakfast was really nice, however the staff did not serve it with toast as it said on the menu. How can you not know your own menu?On a better note, this is a great café with polite friendly staff ..A second chance will be given on our next visit ..
