Terrace cafe, Brockhole Visitor Centre in South Lakeland

A thoroughly enjoyable experience. There are so many things to do and enjoy. Booking in advance is a great idea to make sure you make the most of your time. Although just strolling around the gardens and the path along the lake is also very enjoyable. The staff are superb, well trained, helpful and make sure you enjoy a good time and make sure you are safe.

Even in the rain we had a brilliant time on the little motor boat we hired, had some gorgeous views of the lake, saw some cool birds and the team were so lovely

Shame to have to pay for (min 2 hours parking) when there's not much to look at/do at this time of year. Some nice things in the visitor centre/shop and lovely art in the gallery too. Definitely worth a try in the summer. Shame there are no vegan options in the restaurant/cafe. 😮

Excellent place to visit for people from all ages and backgrounds. No matter how many time you visit this place, every time something new there to explore and enjoy the beautiful naturel settings.

Beautiful gardens and loads of activities for kids to do. Lovely access along the riverside. Car park is not free £3 for 2 hours.

The adventure playground here is phenomenal, well worth the cost of the parking tickets for hours of fun with toddlers and bigger kids for no extra cost! Beyond this, the place is well maintained, although there is no where to go for a quick sandwich as it's either a "dine-in" experience or coffee and cake, we didn't find anything in between. Can't comment about the other activities.

Great place for kids about 5 years and upwards.My grandson is only 3 so he played on the park, which he lived.Plenty to do for all, archery, clay pigeon shooting, kayaking, go carts the caving was closed.The tree top adventure looked brilliant, would of loved to go on the zip wire.There was a burger type van there and there is also a restaurant.Gift shop on site as well.We had a walk around the grounds and really enjoyed it.My daughter has been to the Preston one and said the Windermere one is better.

Fantastic place to take the kids, big climbing frame which is free (you pay for parking) activities such as archery, zip lining and mini golf can be enjoyed for fee. You can go down to the lake side have a pair or rent a boat. Cafe, ice cream parlour and toilets on site.

This was a fantastic find! Should definitely visit if you have children, so many things to keep them entertained! And the best thing about it here is you don't have to spend much to have a great time! If you wish to do more and spend more then you can, the options are there for you. The crazy golf was good for a bit quick of fun, the adventure playground was absolutely fantastic - which was free, and was great for all ages, but the highlight for my son was the laser clay shooting range, we all enjoyed it, and I have to say the guy that was working on there was brilliant, and made our time there very enjoyable, unfortunately I didn't get his name - great guy!The gardens were beautiful too, very well kept, very lovely to walk around.I would say take a picnic and enjoy the gardens as the food was expensive, not a huge menu and absolutely huge waiting time. Not worth the wait. A shame as I did enjoy the falafel burger. But the waiting time was rediculous. They should have a separate queue for ice cream.We got there by boat which was a wonderful way to enjoy this place and scenery. Perfect day out.

Nice place. With plenty to be done if you arrive early as most activities and baits get booked early because of covid. Better to book online before coming over. Nice family place with plenty of activity and stunning scenery
