The Albert in South Lakeland

We called in here for Sunday lunch and can't fault a thing: I had the roast beef dinner, which was cooked to perfection with a generous helping of beef. My girlfriend had fish and chips, which was the biggest and tastiest fish we've ever eaten (I say "We" because it was too big for her to finish, so obviously I had to help out).The service was spot on, with our meals arriving about ten minutes after we ordered, even though the pub was very busy. Highly recommended.

Very busy, good food and a nice fire. A bit crowded inside with all the tables close together.

Superb place. Very friendly, food was great and such a warm welcome (the roaring fire was most welcome!) and it's dog friendly. What more could you ask for.

Great food, great drinks, lovely warm fire in the pub and outdoor heating also available. Great friendly staff and a real good atmosphere especially when live musics on.

Tried twice to eat/drink here but both times we went in the place stunk of fish! Really put us off as we didn't want to smell of it had we stayed. Clearly popular dishes but was a no from us

Nice place to sit outside,decent hardworking staff,bizarrely they refuse tips on the bar,let me educate you,when a customer says and one for yourself they mean a tip of a set amount say £1 it’s traditional up north,it doesn’t mean sit down with them and drink alcohol,I tried to explain this twice to no avail lol,it’s how bar staff top up wages ,(I have over 35 years experience in service industry)

Love this place. Food great in particular the Albert board. Staff are always friendly. It's a busy place but still very relaxing to eat drink and people watch! Great outside seating as well. Mondays they have entertainment singer on last night was excellent.
