The Amber Court Restaurant in South Lakeland

Really disappointed in our takeaway last night, left myself and my partner with a bad stomach, Far too salty and rice was overcooked and didn’t taste fresh couldn’t eat it a waste of £33!!It used to be a good Chinese but seriously gone downhill

Carpet threadbare..service charge extortionate..portions mediocre. Very expensive for what you received.sorry but Wouldn't recommend even though the young waiter was very polite and pleasant.

Great food and wonderful staff, we tried many dishes to test the quality of the food, although the portions was very small, the food was great, just could of done with more on the plate for the cost.

Food was just okay, prices were quite high, service good though. Eat in prices are double the takeaway prices!

Don't usually do this but I was extremely disappointed in the food here. Had a special curry which was very bland with precious little meat and even less veg or onions, just mainly a very basic curry sauce. We also had salt and pepper chicken and a portion of satay sauce which was also very bland. Maybe we are spoilt with our local Chinese (MAXs) in heysham but I think Amber Court need to up their game.

Lovely friendly staff & food was really nice. Also very reasonably priced. Worth a visit if in the area.

Very fast and friendly service on take-away and appropriately priced. Unfortunately nothing about this meal was nice, one of the dishes was wrong and the rest seemed to be very watery and lacking authentic Chinese taste. Would not recommend and won’t be returning

BEWARE: the dine-in menu is the same as the take-away menu - but is 50% TO 100% MORE EXPENSIVE per item - an inconvenient truth that is somewhat conveniently not mentioned at all on their website. The Chicken Chowmein is GBP 5.90 on their menu, but almost GBP 11 when you order it at the venue. The Seafood Supreme Sizzler is GBP 9.10 on the menu but GBP 16+ when you land up in person. When asked why, an unconvincing answer referring to Covid was mentioned. As far as the food goes, it was okay. Worth the take-away menu prices - not the vastly-inflated eat-in menu prices.

The service was exceptional, and the food was worth every penny. After a long drive from Bristol, this was the best place we could have chosen. Lovely evening and the portions are very generous indeed. Highly recommended!!
