The Black Cock Inn, Broughton in South Lakeland

We visited on our honeymoon & felt so welcome. The food & hospitality was amazing. They even got us a post wedding card, which was so sweet.If you're in the area or visiting then stop by. The staff are so friendly, food is amazing & it's such a great atmosphere.

Dropped in, not booked, and managed to get a table, delightful, friendly staff made us very welcome, ordered two mains had the Old Man of Coniston Burger and the lovely home made Game Pie, which was very, very tasty. Would recommend a visit, for an enjoyable evening whether eating or drinking, friendly, warm and welcoming.

Only stopped for a pint but a nice and quiet place, good menu of drinks not crazy prices

Came here on Saturday for a meal with my partner. Ordered our food at 5oclock (we were the only ones waiting for a meal) a big group of people came about half an hour after us and got served their food before us about 6oclock. We was obviously forgotten about, so after wasting an hour here waiting around (on our weekend break away) we paid for our drinks and walked out. So unprofessional, we didn’t even get an apology.

Stayed for 2 nights this week, a great find. Food was excellent, cooked fresh and plentiful. Staff more than helpful, cheerful. compliments to the chef👍👍👍

Lovely pub, nice ales, friendly helpful staff, tasty & reasonably priced food AND a cosy fire. Very much enjoyed our visit and would recommend.

Great local pub serving excellent ale. The food menu offered a wide selection of choice. The Jalfrezi chips are an innovation! The staff are very attentive to children, which can't be said for many traditional pubs. Highly recommended!!!

The staff including Hailey were really lovely. The Inn was super clean and really cosy. Our meals were fantastic and really generous portions. It was a lovely family break and we would definitely visit again.
