Brilliant host friendly couldn't do more for you. Would definitely recommend it. We will be staying again

Absolutely amazing little spot. Bit further out of Coniston but a nice walk down the old railway path and about £60 cheaper than the tired places in the centre. The host Mark is a kind soul who’s run off his feet so make sure you ring up to book as emails may get missed. The room was clean and modern within the old building where you have to stoop or curse! The breakfast was immense. Fresh ingredients and loads of food. All prepared fresh by Mark. Poached eggs and bangers were spot on.Aside from the BNB he has some camping spots and a new lodge with hot tub in the back which seems very popular. This is a real gem near Coniston and a great base for the Old Man of coniston which we did. Lovely hot powerful shower afterwards was a winner.Mark hasn’t quite opened the bar up yet as he is running this place single-handedly. COVID hasn’t been kind to small places like this and he just hasn’t the time. The place has bags of character and loads or outside space which you can utilise nonetheless. We will be back. Undoubtedly.

Booked for a week. Wanted to stay longer.Clean quiet site.Friendly owner very helpful.Shame about the pub being closed it would do good business if only for the campers and b+b.Pity the other pub took all the business away. Nice pub though just a shame not enough business for both.Would come again.

Mark very helpful, very laid back site. Shame the pub is currently closed, however knowing this we will just take extra food for the evening meals next time, we will definitely be back.Perfect if you’re looking for a cosy little uneven natural little campsite with lovely toilet and shower - the shower has amazing water pressure and you can regulate the temp (perfect after a cold walk in the fells!!)

Lovely venue. Easy to find. Spotlessly clean. Wood Fired hot tub amazing. Mark (the owner) had it heating for our arrival. Lovely wee extras...wine being one of them. The Wilson Arms across the road does lovely food and drinks, you have to pre book. Bring a torch if you plan to venture over. Communication from Mark exemplary. We will definitely be returning.

The Church house inn site is situated in a great area,we were here for 3 nights from the 8/10/21 to 11/10/21 it has everything you need, hard standings with grass area for awnings, electric hook up. there are toilets and a shower (no charge) and it's not push button type either, you can regulate the temperature as you like it. The owner Mark goes out of his way to make sure everything is right for you.If you like walking or cycling you can't go wrong staying here, a nice stroll away to the shore of Coniston water or the village itself or up onto the fells. i will return to Church house inn.

Camp site is adequate with hookup and fresh water. There is a toilet and shower which look great at first but on closer inspection, water damage is apparent on the nice fixtures. The shower water splashes everywhere on the floor and no mop provided to dry it. But it was clean with hot water. Unfortunately the pub no longer operates. A decent stopover.

Amazing place, Our room was unbelievably clean. Mark the owner was absolutely great and of course (Amy) the house keeper was fantastic (very caring). BIG thank you to you both making our stay so pleasant and relaxing... ;)

Not the best place we stayed in during our road trip. The b n b is only doing rooms and the rest of the pub/hotel is closed. Room was spotless and it has a good comfy bed but the view from the window is a camp site and a few mobile homes. Felt like entering a youth hostel then entering a nice room. Also against it is the fact that there are no places to eat in Torver, or walk to, unless you want to wander round the camp site, so you really are just staying in a room in a place with limited services.
