The Elleray Restaurant in South Lakeland

Food, drink & service were very good but just a tad expensive. £12.95 for a Sunday roast. £8.40 for a pint and half of cider.

Great people running a great show, we turned up with 9 of us and the staff were great, looked after us and made us more than welcome.

I've been up in windermere for the last week. Out of every where we tried I found the elleray to have the best staff that poured good beers/ales/drinks and couldn't do enough for you. Because of this we decided to eat and I couldn't fault the food. Great pub food (that we all want) at a reasonable price. I'll be back next time I'm up!

Nice pub, welcoming staff and dog friendly. Food was fine and available in smaller portions. Bar looks well stocked with choice of local real ales. Stairs to the front door but entry on the level from the side.

Unfortunately due to the sun been out the outside space was a busy placeWe ordered the drinks and my wife did go to see the seating area and look again when some lads seem to leave the area outside.A comment from the staff was over heard " don't rush to sit down as we need to clear the table "As customer i would of thought it might of been appropriate to ask us to wait in the bar so they can clear the table and clean it but save it for us.Disappointing with a pub that last time we visited in December was closed because of staff sortageYou wonder whyThink twice before visiting !!!

Absolutely fantastic place. Four of us have had tea and drinks there tonight. Service was fantastic and food definitely recommended. We will definitely go again. Lovely place with lovely staff.

Great 'local' pub with a few rooms. Want to feel at home, in Winermere, stay here.Traditional bar with locals in. Good choice behind the bar. Simple menu: I had the burger. Very tasty and filling. Bar staff very friendly. Bedroom very clean with quality fittings. Highly recommended.

Excellent weekend , fantastic food and drink, really comfortable room and 5stars for breakfast, excellent hosts nothing was too much trouble, good atmosphere in bar, great log fire ( warning it will make you want to curl up and sleep 😀) we will definitely book again, stayed over 5/6th November Martyn and Sheila

Words can't go far enough to describe this place so i'll keep it simple. Fantastic food. Wonderful atmosphere. Superb staff. You can tell they take pride in what they do and it reflects in everything about the pub. Love the place.
