The Farmers Arms in South Lakeland

Popped in with the family on a recent trip to the Lakes and really enjoyed it. The restaurant itself was really upmarket and stylish in its decor, staff were good (although I thought I got a bit of sass from the girl when I asked for some tap water). Food was also excellent and the portion sizes were something you expect to see in NY, absolutely massive. Recommended.

Called in as we'd been before, and wanted another round of fish and chips. Absolutely amazing food, great portions, reasonable price, you don't mind paying for something good. Highly recommend the fish and chips, just be aware they must be fishing for whales as the fish is huge. Enjoy

Didn't have food, but restaurant looks lovely. Just said on the pub side, nice environment and also nice beer garden out front. Staff very friendly :)

Great selection or beers and ales. Indoor and outdoor seating with very helpful staff. A choice of cash or contactless payments. Clean toilets. Well situated in the centre of Ulverston.,☆☆☆☆☆. Brilliant.

Popped in unannounced on a Saturday afternoon with a party of 8 on a weekend break. Very busy at the time but very well looked after. Within 5 minutes or so a couple of tables arranged so we could all be together. Food was excellent for all of us. Bar and facilities very clean and in a very nice setting.

Very friendly staff, warm welcome and delicious food. I highly recommend the mushroom starter - the sauce is amazing. Fine skein of ales. Would definitely consider revisiting in the future.

Me and my husband had a meal in here on the 28/01. Absolutely beautiful. The food was well presented everything was hot, cannot fault it at all. Staff very friendly, it was very busy but we didn't feel rushed at all. Would definitely recommend this place.

Fab, Michael really enjoyed his stir fry. Be warned the pizza's are pretty big. They fitted us in on a busy Friday without booking. Staff and service great.Will definitely return xx

Brilliant staff, lovely man behind the bar who was very friendly.Lovely food, quality ingredients and large portion sizes.As a family with 2 children; were welcomed and accommodated for brilliantly; nothing was too much trouble.

A lovely bar. I visited just for drinks and found this to be a lovely warm bar with lots of atmosphere and very friendly staff. Although it was busy there were plenty of bar staff and so service was fast. There was also several staff members cleaning and clearing tables and so despite being busy there were always clean places to sit. The real fire gave the bar warmth and there was a lovely atmosphere. I would recommend this bar! The Christmas decorations were also lovely
