The Flying Boat in South Lakeland

Popped in on my way home from an overnight stay. Was greeted with a friendly smile and good service, impressed with the selection of sandwiches/baguettes available and at very reasonable prices.Will use again when in the area.Recommend

Beautiful breakfast. Shame there is not a menu or prices on the wall. When you walk into a cafe for a bacon butty or something to take away , it's helpful to see what is what quickly.

This place never deserved 4 stars. I used to dine there quite often only because I work across the street and there's no other place near. I would say it was 3 stars, but I would give 2 now as quality gone a lot worse. After last couple of visits I gave up on the place. Their quality don't go with the price they ask.

Good, caring owner providing good food and great coffee. The decor is a little sparse however I have only been there during lock down which could account for this. One of those independent start-ups that really deserves success and our support.

I use to like this place very much but I feel its change a lot , food is much worst ( use to be homemade but now I can see its not any more)Service is terrible I was waiting for my coffee which was ready for collection 20 min and when I finally get my order coffee was cold.I'm very disappointed.

Superb food and menu choice. Love seeing what the daily specials are. Reasonable prices to make it affordable as a daily event. Staff always friendly, polite and prompt. Such good service.

Staff very warm and friendly, and the food and drinks have always been top notch. Really suggest their breakfast muffins!!!

We found this place nearby the Marina we were working at. Food selection was great and service was quick and friendly. I saw the jacket potatoes on the menu with options of cheese and tuna. I had to try it. The jacket potato (baked potato) was served with a nice amount of cheese and tuna fish (as you would prep it for a sandwich). On the plate was also a serving of salad greens. The flavor combination was fantastic! At this sitting I also had a scotch egg and an Americano. Lunch was quick, inexpensive and filling. We will be making it back there again.

Being quite regular there I can say there is a very good attentive service and a nice sitting area. The wall painted message highlights the importance of very welcoming local fresh produce. However the healthy options like salad on your meal side comes as significant expense doubling a price of your lunch treat. Where is the healthy lifestyle spirit gone?? Mixed salad with herbs going into wraps went significantly down the hill in the recent months - the quality and the quantity.

5 stars for the food BUT 1- for the service !We visit the cafe daily with multiple orders each time. The customer service is unfortunately non existent. Rude and maybe overworked staff make sure to show us their annoyance when asking for a carrier bag!!There is no professionalism or common sense.Stressful lunch time break to say the least! Throwing the food on the table in an outrageous manner is simply unacceptable and embarrassing!!Shame as it’s a lovely little cafe with great food
