This place is gorgeous. The room was spacious. If the little niggles were sorted out, such as loose light in the shower, I'm sure this place could be 4 stars. Also we stayed in the room on the ground floor near the bar and it got a bit loud at 3am with people singing and the front door being open and closed.

Can I say the staff are so friendly and helpful a big shout out to to them. We ate there the breakfast was lovely , dinner and tea was just as good, not a massive menu but was busy so book a table for The night. place is so quirky it's amazing . Loads off walks around the area . We stayed in room 8 it was massive comfy big bed . Bit of a spooky wardrobe but that was just me haha.... only 1 slight negative was the view from our window lovely forest then overfilled messy bins . Just screen them off and would be perfect .

This place is fabolous !!! Totally unique. A special thanks to the guys behind the bar Who let me test the different beer to find my perfect local brew and Who even spoke to me in Italian !!! This pub is great for dogs Who are warmly welcomed and...don't forget to check the toilets...incredible!!

Lovely little pub. Stopped off on way to Keswick. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Not a huge choice on menu but what we had was lovely and huge portions, we couldn't finish it. Very cosy little pit stop

I have used the Badger bar for over thirty years and always look forward to returning. It is very small but the cask ales and bar meals are always excellent as are the interior and the open fires. It has adequate parking and is ideally placed to recover after a walk aroung Loughrigg fell or Rydal.

Stopped by on a cold wintery evening in December and it was fantastic. Great range of ales and beers and despite arriving out of hours for food, they still served us a massive bowl of hot chips, which were enjoyed by the fire

Lovely pub. Veeeery dogs friendly. The food is wonderful, I would say it was better than in other places around. It was freshly cooked, not just frozen and reheated. I would like to come back there again. Our little dog was very welcomed ππππ

Quite a quirky place with different nooks send nooks and crannies all over the place. Great placr after a wet walk as we sat right next the log burner to dry off. We all had the posh finger sandwiches and thoroughly enjoyed. Mainly bar food which was perfect. Staff very friendly and you need to check out the toilets.

Love this place! This is the fourth year we've been, the staff are amazing!! They can't do enough for you, we even struck up friendships with some of them. It's like visiting your family! Not forgetting Paul the owner who is an absolutely wonderful guy and has managed to create a beautiful up market hotel without all the pretensesness you usually find in a place like this!! Carry on with the good work guys and we'll see you next year!!
