Stopped here for afternoon tea and scones and it was terrific. Pot of tea for 2, large warm fresh scones with homemade jam, butter and bucket of cream! Awesome. They have a really nice menu and there were lots of happy people making yummy noises.

Best Cafe We've Ever Been To...The cutest place. So glad we stumbled across this little cafe. We enjoyed it so much that we went back on the second day of our break aswel & we will certainly be returning every time we visit Coniston in the future. The staff are so kind and friendly, nothing too much trouble. They cater for everybodys needs & have a wide variety of options on the menu that you dont tend to get anywhere else. I was stuck for choice on what to choose it all looked so good. The food itself is local produce..so fresh and tasty, and the sour dough bread is out of this world. We would even go as far as saying its the best breakfast we've ever had.The cafe itself is a lovely little cozy shabby chic cafe with lovely decor and nice little finishing touches, which just made it for me.They also offer food & drink to take away & have a lovely outdoor seating area round the back to sit out, enjoy a cuppa, watch the world go by & enjoy the great british weather. We can't wait to visit again..Thanks so much :) x

What a great little find- had a cream tea, BLT sandwich and broccoli and cheddar soup- all delicious and plenty of bread and butter with the soup. Pot of tea which had a knitted tea cosy which kept the tea lovely and hot. Served by a lovely young girl who was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended and will definitely be revisiting.🙂

Excellent stop for refreshments. Busy but friendly staff were very approachable and efficient. We had a cream tea and a hot cross bun both of which were very good with plenty of butter, cream and jam as required.Clientele were obviously both local and tourists so a good atmosphere.

Lovely independent cafe with very friendly efficient staff, great freshly prepared home made food and lots of it. Can highly recommend the broccoli and cheddar soup with a toasted sandwich. Wide range of cakes too. A little gem, not to be missed.

Staff are super friendly, portion sizes are massive and the ingredients are quality. Loved the homemade bread! We had two full English’s.

Good service and delicious food, especially the cake which was vegan, which I would have never had guessed!

Fantastic, we really liked this place. We had a drink each and a meal each, leek and potato soup with lashings of chunky bread and butter. Cheese and ham toastie (two huge chunks of granary bread)with a delicious fresh salad, coleslaw and crisps. All for less than £15 great value and tasted great. The two girls serving were really nice and welcoming and provided a great service. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend and we would definitely go back.
