I don’t normally leave reviews but we visited last week for lunch food was excellent service was also good. Visited last night -Friday night came in for some late evening drinks staff looked miserable I can deal with that. Some young man on the bar slim had an attitude problem was having an altercation with another customer the way he was and how he spoke to him was awful I thought they was going to fight we quickly drank and left. It wasn’t very pleasant. I wasn’t able to get through on the phone to raise this issue but this isn’t very nice for paying customers I hope you don’t mind me leaving this review I’m not very good on computers but I wanted to make the owner aware as I don’t think he was the owner Jan

Having visited the king's arms I have to say what a wonderful place this is so welcoming and hospitable the owner of the pub welcomes dogs even having dog treats on the bar which is a great plus for the visitors who visit with their canine companions. The food is extremely good excellent chef and the staff go the extra mile to accommodate youRyan who runs the bar is such a lovely young guy who takes great pride in welcoming everyone a definite must if you are visiting this part of the country I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this for your next visit

The food was fantastic even the service was great the only thing that let it down was the lady who I think was some sort of manager. She was swearing about a member of staff when I sat at the table she continued to do nothing but put him down while we where there all I can say is poor Ryan he was great in my eyes very friendly went out of his way for us and the table next to us I think the lady in question needs to look at her management skills

Some of the best food my family has eaten for a while! Everything we ordered was delicious would highly reccomend the Oxtail pie. The staff were wonderful and tended to our every need. Glad to know we can come back with our dogs to enjoy another great meal.

Highly recommended if you are looking for a warm & cozy pub with lovely food and amazing staff... the kind of place you dont want to leave after a couple of pints of Last Wolf. Thank you to all the staff for making us feel so welcome... Will definitely visit again.

Great staff who "went the extra mile" to accommodate our groups dietary requests. Food was fine without being outstanding. Good overall pub atmosphere

Great beers great lunch had the Ribeye beef and horseradish sandwich which I shared with my wife as we were going for a posh dinner that evening absolutely fantastic so much beef beautifully pink that melted in your mouth came with French fries and a pot of gravy best lunch I have had for ages.

Nice place, very cosy, friendly staff. Popped in on the off chance as there isn’t much in the way of a website, online bookings or menu and we were pleasantly surprised!I had the steak, which according the the chef, doesn’t require a steak knife, so they don’t have any, at all. I disagree, as I had quite a fatty rib eye and I was just sawing it with a blunt dinner knife which was frustrating and steak, regardless of the cut should be served with a nice sharp blade, but with this aside, we had a great meal out and I would recommend it.

The best Sunday roast I've ever had. Unbelievably good broccoli and Stilton soup. Superb. Good selection of beers nice and warm fire and great service, brilliant.
