This Spoons is built over 3 levels with the bar on the first floor then up some steps to 1st floor where there is a large room with plenty of tables and to the rear of this level is a smaller room which drops down a few steps and was very quiet and a lovely place to sit and talk. We ordered food and drinks for Valentine's day going for the special 2 main meal 2 puddings and 2 drinks for a bargain price of £20. The service was excellent, the meals even better, our steaks where cooked beautifully and tasted delicious . 1 of my photos is "If Spoons did gourmet 😉" . NOT EVEN WORTH THE 1 STARService was shocking waitresses just threw the menus ar us when we asked for on. When order came out it was cold so told the waitress who said she would get me another one. 2nd meal finally came out and the eggs was still all clear on the top clearly under cook as my chips couldn't even break the yolk and just looked like it was covered in clear slime.Wouldn't happen in manchester this think il stick to the best city in the uk

Food was OK, but my mixed grill was overdone and dry. V busy. Serried ranks of tables. Warm on a cold day. Service reasonably prompt.

Went in for lunch. Quite a few of the dishes on the menu were out of stock so limited choices. However the food we did choose was really good, couldn't fault the quality.

Good atmosphere and the food is well priced. Desserts were a little lacking and overpriced, it balances though. I would definitely eat here again!

Lovely cosy fire at far end of the pub . Nicely decorated festively . Bit of an up and down steps to some parts of the pub including to get to an outside spacious area. Meals good esp breakfast . only thing I'd say negatively is toilets not looked after. Out of 3 cubicles , one broke,one no toilet paper .

A very well appointed Spoons. Clean and friendly. Great value. Located in the heart of town. Good real ale options.

We called in here for some lunch and decided to have the sirloin steak deal which includes a drink. Two steaks meals and two pints for just over £23. The building is nice, staff are friendly, the service is excellent and the food is great, cannot fault it.

Food was really nice and turned up quickly. The staff was very busy but efficient. Would definitely return. Which we did 5 nights on the trot. Certainly tasted the range of the menu between all of us. The shift manager was especially helpful. Cheers Laura
