As a party of seven, with three young children, we were warmly welcomed. The children were given a colouring book & crayons each which they were thrilled with. The service was very friendly & excellent. The food was incredible! All portions generous, including children’s. Highly recommend.

Clearly a popular venue, we received a warm welcome at the Pheasant, where we had reserved a table for Sunday lunch. Service was provided by friendly staff, who explained the Specials on offer. I ordered the lamb shoulder which had been recommended, and my wife ordered the 'small portion' fillet steak. Our food was perfectly cooked and very enjoyable. We decided to have dessert and ordered the fruit crumble and custard, which was excellent. We would certainly recommend the Pheasant for a great 'pub food' experience.

Great family run hotel. Fab food & service. Very comfortable bed in a very well appointed room. Great value & location definitely rates 5 *

Have been here a couple of times for meals now, not been disappointed either time. The last meal I had was a beef rendang curry and it was lovely. Its a little out from grange over sands but very worth popping in. Also for anyone who watched channel 4's hunted, this place has featured on one season of that

We have had a lunch here today and have to say the lunch selection and value for money is fantastic. There is a 3 course menu thats got good variety. We had fish goujons and macaroni, both tasted great. The fries are really good too. A warm welcome and nothing too much trouble attitude from the staff complete a very pleasant experience. Many thanks, James & Holly

A really warm welcome in a dog-friendly pub! The menu was wide enough and the food was good. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Actually the staff were very very good. The pub was nice and clean and the ambience was great, with good range of music. The toilets were clean and fresh too (always counts in my book!). Plenty of parking in the car park, although we walked down I would definitely go back. The only negative, I thought it was a little expensive for what it was.

My partner and I found this place half by accident when out cycling and sightseeing. A fantastic and charming pub and restaurant in a perfect spot. Staff were friendly and attentive, service quick and efficient and the food and drink hit the mark, setting us up well to continue our ride.Would fully recommend to all and will certainly be back, minus the bikes, next time we are in the area ourselves.
