The Pheasant Inn in South Lakeland

We love The Pheasant Inn. So welcoming, the food is always great and the staff are really friendly. The new extension of the conservatory area is beautiful. A pleasure to dine in. Thank you everyone at the Pheasant Inn. Five star service as always. We had a lovely evening.

We stayed from 8th until 11th of June in room 6. The room has recently been refurbished to a high standard. It's very spacious and we appreciated the fridge, bottled water, fresh milk & homemade treats. Air con is also a brilliant addition. All staff are so friendly, polite and personable. The food was delicious, we had 3 breakfasts and 3 evening meals. Everything is perfectly cooked and you are provided with generous servings. We would love to visit again.

Just been twice during our mini break. The owner and her attentiveness made it. Such a fabulous personality that you don’t come across very often. Lovely atmosphere, welcome and food to match. We went early evening with our 2 young children and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you!!!

We had a night away with some some friends. We booked the Pheasant. We received a very warm welcome . The rooms were spotless well equipped , the beds very comfortable. We are in the restaurant and ordered from the specials board , wow what a chef . Cooked to perfection. Well deserved 6 star . Thank you Rob . Mark

When we arrived we were greeted by a young man who showed us to our table. I noticed how pleasent the decor was. The young man was really informative and knew off by heart the specials and drinks menu. I ordered the fish and chips and so glad I did! It really was the best fish I have ever had!!!! Lovely crispy batter and the fish was not over cooked! We also ordered the phesant which was wonderful and my 7 year old had the kids nuggets, chips and beans. We ordered pudding too which was just soo lovely. I wanted to rate this pub/restaurant 5 stars but was slightly disappointed with the children's menu. There was only 3 things on there and she would of loved to have had the option of a burger. But other than that it was absolutely wonderful

Great atmosphere, good qualiry food and real ales. Very friendly staff, best to book, though they might be able to find room in the bar area. Dog friendly but restricted to bar area. Plenty of out side seating and the front extension is nearly completed. Recommend the pie, burger and curry. Always food specials, if you want a change.

Clearly a popular venue, we received a warm welcome at the Pheasant, where we had reserved a table for Sunday lunch. Service was provided by friendly staff, who explained the Specials on offer. I ordered the lamb shoulder which had been recommended, and my wife ordered the 'small portion' fillet steak. Our food was perfectly cooked and very enjoyable. We decided to have dessert and ordered the fruit crumble and custard, which was excellent. We would certainly recommend the Pheasant for a great 'pub food' experience.

As a party of seven, with three young children, we were warmly welcomed. The children were given a colouring book & crayons each which they were thrilled with. The service was very friendly & excellent. The food was incredible! All portions generous, including children’s. Highly recommend.

Have been here a couple of times for meals now, not been disappointed either time. The last meal I had was a beef rendang curry and it was lovely. Its a little out from grange over sands but very worth popping in. Also for anyone who watched channel 4's hunted, this place has featured on one season of that

Great food and warm atmosphere. The staff were very attentive and service was fast. Honestly, everything on the menu looked so good!!!
