The Queens Pub & Restaurant in South Lakeland

A normal pub, where to go to have a comfortable beer with friends, the only thing that bothered us is that when we entered the waiter said that since we had a minor child we had to leave before 8:30, although I know that until 10 could be.

After trying to get reasonable priced cocktail in Brown sugar decided to go to the QueensSeeing it is my wiffee birthday splashed out on a bottle of ProseccoSo much better than across the raodTop pub 👌

Well priced pints and a nice atmosphere, however no food options available. Unfortunately the staff were unwilling to allow external food to be brought in which in my humble opinion was short sighted. Had we been able to order in food, we would have ordered at least another 4 rounds of drinks (of 4 pints each).I hope that in the future the staff are more friendly, forward thinking and more accommodating of external food options. I would also add that the smell of the venue (cheesy feet) is noticeable on entry.Otherwise well worth a visit.

Brilliant friendly pub. So welcoming. staff are amazing, especially Beth, she looks after you like an old friend. She never stops! I don't know why God gave her a bum 😄 Will defo be back. Stace and Will xxx

I have been a patron (occasionally these) days for many, many years. As a local resident I never thought I'd be disappointed with this particular establishment. However, it has changed considerably. Not just the decor but the friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The staff treat dogs with more warmth than their customers, chat amongst thselves and aspire to be 'pub owner's' of their own. This contributes to their neglect of what is in front of them. Shame on them.I would suggest you visit else wher, especially if you wish for a taste of good beer (none on offer) and a nice atmosphere..

Very well presented pub. Good prices for location. Staff are excellent (especially Anna), go above and beyond to make both people and dogs welcome.

Great place for a.drink, friendly team behind the bar. No problem putting whatever you want on the many TVs with several sky boxes. Great beer and wine selection. Clean, tidy and very welcoming. Thanks :)

Happy pub on the main road. When we visited they weren't doing food. Lovely to sit outside and watch the world go by. We were offered blankets as the evening got cooler, lovely touch. Would recommend for a visit.

What a lovely place! They kindly seated us outside till a table inside became available so we could watch the football and offered us blankets and heated areas until then. Sadly, the result didn’t go our way but one of the team (I believe on his last ever shift!) secured us the seats within 5 minutes and we enjoyed a warm and cosy evening with the locals watching the football with cold beer. We did not stay for food but I would recommend giving the Queens a chance if you can as the staff are exemplary!
