Just spent the late afternoon here in the sunshine. Great selection of drinks at the bar, and lovely food when we decided to dine. Quite a limited menu, but served by polite and busy servers. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Went here last weekend, the place was really busy with people drinking and eating. Nice and warm, good buzz about the place and the staff were really friendly and helpful. We were just planning to have drinks but ended up ordering a sharing platter. We managed to get a seat in the window overlooking the lake. Highly recommended. Food was 5 star and only took about 20 mins to arrive after we ordered. A pint of lager was around £6ish and the sharing platter was £17, which we though was reasonable for the location.

Great view and food! I would have liked a few more options on the menu but still ok! Very friendly staff!

We had such a lovely few hours here during the later afternoon. Fantastic views across the lake. Staff were some of the friendliest and most efficient I have ever seen in this type of setting. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was fabulous, service incredible. Very highly recommended

Had a great meal here in Feb 2022. I've been to Bowness many times over the years but never been into The Ship before. The food was great and so was the beer. I had the roast turkey which was great and my wife had the steak and ale pie which was even better. The staff were very pleasant and attentive. On a cold February night it was nice and warm in the Ship and we had a table by the window with a view over the lake.

Beautiful, large pub overlooking lake Windermere, good attentive service, good food at decent prices. Well worth a visit👍

Had Fish and chips which was very nice, one of the best. Second day ordered wings that had a lot of hair on them and they tasted like the wings were microwaved for about 6 times. Disgusting. Staff are very nice and very nice location, unfortunately the food is horrible.

The ship inn is amazing! It's a usual visit when we're in bowness with a lovely building that looks over the lake itself with a lovely outdoor seating area that has amazing views! The restaurant is comfortable serving more traditional pub food but there's something for everyone! Our party had fish and chips, burgers and a vegan burger which was all amazing quality and portion size and reasonable priced. They have a decent bar with everything you need for a pint while you have some dinner! We noticed they also have the sport and football on so it's definitely an option if you're visiting while the footy is on, great place all in all

Fantastic food with fantastic views. Went for a birthday meal, we was treated with a warm welcome and very much enjoyed our meal there. Excellent staff members especially the man who turned out to be from where we live. He had great customer service and went well out of his way for the birthday cake/singalong.

Stopped off for a drink. Whilst a little dated inside it is right on the lake front and has great views. Good choice of drinks which were reasonably priced. Good service from the staff serving drinks and food. The food was nice and delivered quickly with good potion size. The deserts were best. Sticky toffee pudding and chocolate fudge cake with ice cream were worth it on their own. Maybe not to everyone's taste but I would recommend it if your passing for the views alone.
