The Smithy Inn in South Lakeland

The Food was absolutely lovely good quality ingredients and nice sized portions. The staff where very helpful and the prices where very fair. Highly recommend thank you 🙂

A friend and i were decorating the village church ready for a wedding on Saturday.We needed a break so went to TheSmithy Inn we were welcomed and enjoyed a chat over some tasty food was warm and comfortable and were able to recharge our batteries and complete the job...........

We were absolutely delighted by the quality and speed of service on early Sunday afternoon. We had just under 1 hour to eat before our bus home arrives. The lady we spoke with gave us advice on quickest dishes and they arrived very quickly indeed. Visiting that pub was a great way to finish our walking in the countryside.Highly recommended.

The best steak I've ever had! Beautiful food and fantastic customer service.Everyone was really friendly and such a great atmosphere. Definitely will be coming back.

A group of us went for our first Christmas Dinner of 2021! The home-cooked food as always was first class and in contrast to some places, the pub was well staffed so service was excellent. To cap off a great evening there was a brass band playing Christmas Carols which created a lovely atmosphere in which to dine. Highly recommended.

Grand food brilliant service good atmosphere

Visited for the first time on Tuesday. Will definitely be back. The staff were especially willing and friendly, which goes a long way to your experience. The food was great, especially the Chicken in Tarragon Sauce. Chicken was so tender and sauce tasted great . Sticky toffee pudding..the best we have had and the ice cream really good.We only live 10 minutes away, so no excuse for not visiting sooner. Thank you, we will be back for sure.

Lovely ambience. Food excellent, I had 'fish & chip butty', superb! The accompanying chips were cooked to perfection. Staff very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.
