Excellent traditional pub grub, good range of drinks, friendly service, all in a lovely location.

·

Quaint old pub, with good beer and pub food.Gardens with seating to the front of the property with car parking adjacent to the front entrance. Cosy and traditional.

Stopped off for a quick drink after a walk, had an awful pint of Wainwright's. Tasted like there was line cleaner in it. Another guy had just took a pint of Stella back saying the same thing. He said the barman wasn't very happy about the complaint and reluctantly poured a pint of Carling instead, he said that was marginally better. We didn't bother finishing our drinks as that tasted that bad, my lad's coke was flat also.

Only called in for a drink after a long walk. Not the most welcoming experience. All a bit grim and moody. Kids enjoyed the playground and we say outside but just all a bit.... Meh.

·

Great traditional pub with a large beer garden and Great food! Highly recommend.

·

Very nice pub, beer garden and surroundings. Friendly staff. But, the food was average at best. Particularly the kids options, plus my wife's lasagna wasn't fully cooked through.Great place for a drink.

Called in for lunch. It was just before 2pm, so we were told we had 5 minutes to order, then 30 minutes to eat it. Just ordered sandwiches. One without butter (wife doesn’t tolerate butter). Asked if we could have it with Mayo instead. No was the answer, it will just be dry. Erm…ok🙄 It came with butter anyway. And pre grated plastic cheese. My ham sandwich was also processed plastic ham. Maybe they were having an off day? Perhaps. I won’t be back.

Our second visit to this Charming old pub in the same week. Tasty home made no nonsense food and a very well kept pint of Wainwight. The Landlady (Lynn?) made us most welcome after a long drive . Will definitely be back.

Turned up for food after confirming prior on a phone call. Me and my partner walked in to grab a menu as we were sitting outside. My partner had a mask on, I didn't as I am medically exempt. I was immediately questioned as to why I didn't have a mask on. I explained I was medically exempt but still the bar tender was very rude and refused to serve me. He said he didn't care to government guide lines and when questioned as to why he said off you go. To which I got angry and walked out.
