Doggie friendly. Nice people. Body place but served quickly. All enjoyed our food. Sweets were so so. Normal pub sweets. My steak was great. Thank you a the staff.

Steak pie, peas and the best chips ever! Arrives with a small jug of real gravy!Caters for excellent Gluten Free meals too for my daughter.Fish meals beautifull also! Our new favourite pub for lunch!

·

Great pub food and can recommend the beer brewed on the premises. I think I'll buy a 12 bottle box next visit to try out their full range.

·

Good menu and good bear - brewed on the premises. All ways busy but quick service and room to sit either in side or out. A+

The steak n ale pie was amazing! The pastry was crisp, lovely chips and the braised steak was so soft and tasty. The pub has a lovely warm friendly atmosphere with an open fire...on a cold drizzly day, this was perfect. The pub also has a micro brewery whereby my hubby had a pint of colliewobbles which he said was lovely (he did go on to buy a 12 selection of the beers they brew. All I all a fab pub, very clean, friendly welcoming staff and nice atmosphere. X

A good Lakeland pub encompassing its own brewery; they have a good range of ales and lagers. We met up with family here during the summer [2021] and did have food, the other three in the group said their food was good but I have the pie and it was even better, possibly the nicest pub pie I have had, the pastry was superb.

Lovely cosy pub and restaurant on a wet and windy afternoon. Dog friendly. Great food, including gluten free options - GF fish and chips were very good. Always a great pint of Collie Wobbles.

·

Enjoyed a wonderful family reunion lunch here some years ago. Meal and service was excellent, as was the location which suited many of us visiting from various parts of the north-west.

·

Lovely pub / brewery in the Lakes with quirkly (dog themed) named beers. Didn't try the food but from what I could see from other customers looked OK. Car park round the back with quaint bridge to entrance.

Very cosy place. Sufficient parking. Watermill chicken (with mash potatoes and cabbage) was delicious. Great selection of own drinks- recommending Golden Retriever.
