This a was a great venue for a family lunch after a nice winter walk. Staff were really welcoming and accommodating. The layout is cosy but also feels private and they also welcome dogs (and muddy boots). The foods was delicious, we had the fish and chips, ham egg and chips and falafel burger, all were great and freshly made. Would definitely recommend

Excellent falafel burger with triple cooked chips. Good pale ale and rather nice attentive staff. Recommended.

Stopped off for a late lunch. Lovely pub, warm and cosy, friendly staff and good food. Looking forward to returning.

Have had lovely meals here in the past so very happy with food. However they really need to keep their website up to date as checked it yesterday, it said open all day so drove there expecting a lovely meal but was disappointed to find it closed. No explanation on the door or on their Facebook page either.

We stayed here for three days in Nov. 2021. It was a very reasonable price, including a cooked breakfast. The room was a good size with en suite shower room. It was always lovely and warm and well furnished. The public bar area is cozy (the building has been around since the 1600's!) with a real fire and lovely ambience. The staff make the place what it is. They're very welcoming and cannot do enough for you.The food menu is purposely limited to ensure food is sourced locally and to the best quality. The wife and I are vegetarian and found there was enough variation in the menu to suit us fine for our short stay. We enjoyed the food very much. The breakfasts were plentiful and delicious, setting you up well for the day ahead to explore the surrounding area.In the evenings, locals and visitors frequent the bar which has a good range of speciality gins and a couple of guest draft ales as well as all the standard range of drinks.A super place to make a base for exploring the area of the southern lakes.

Had the most amazing vegan Sunday roast here! The food was delicious, everyone at the table (non-vegans) said it was the best pub roast they'd had. The staff were lovely and the place itself was gorgeous, really cosy and clean. Dog friendly too! Will definitely be back next time we're in the area!

Really lovely pub, stopped in after a long walk for a coffee and scone and was quietly impressed. Very clean and well appointed, nice fire going in one of the rooms, the food was good and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Looking forward to coming back to stay.

Booked for two nights bed and breakfast. We had a really lovely stay, it was actually perfect. The accommodation was rustic and had lots and lots of character. The rooms were spotless and very well thought out. We ended up having both evening meals and could not resist a lovely hot scone, leafed tea and clotted cream and jam. The food was 5* with a simple menu, but the quality shone through, also very reasonably priced. The breakfast was delicious, great choice and all cooked fresh, thank you for looking after us Laura. Beetham and the surrounding area is truly breath taking, we will definitely be back, hats off to all management team and your staff, they are a credit to you
